ICAI Announced the Examination Dates for CA January Session

The institutes of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) have announced the examination schedule for ICAI CA Cycle-II / January Session on its official website in online mode (icai.org). As per the new notification, ICAI-CA Cycle-2 will be conducted from 21^st January 2021 onwards. Previously, ICAI has introduced an “opt out” scheme for the candidates who have registered for the ICAI CA 2020 November Session.

This decision was taken by the concerned admission authority in the awake of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. According to the notice, the “Opt-Out” scheme for CA 2020 November session can be availed if only candidates full-fill the certain conditions which is prescribed by the authority. At present, candidates who are positive for COVID-19 or having the symptoms and in case if the candidate’s residence is located in the containment zone.

Also, candidates who have already registered for CA 2020 November session exam by submitting the application form with in the last date and who meet the conditions which are mentioned above, such candidates will be allowed to opt-out from CA November session exam and their candidature will be carried forward to the ICAI CA January session which is going to be held from 21^st January 2021.In order to “opt out” from November session of CA exam, candidates required to submit the declaration form by logging to the official website in online mode at icaiexam.icai.org.

Once the declaration form is submitted, the candidature of ICAI CA 2020 November examination will be cancelled and that candidate can take part in cycle-2. Candidates must note, it is not required to apply the application form or paying the fees once again for Cycle-2 January session. However, authority will consider the registration of November session.

Authority have also informed that ICAI CA Cycle-2 examination for January session will be conducted in all the cities where the November session currently being held. So, it is not necessary for the candidates to choose the examination centre again for taking up CA January session exam. Further information relevant to the examination and dates for the admit card availability will be updated soon by the concerned authority on its official website in online mode

As per the notified schedule, ICAI going to conduct CA November 2020 entrance exam from 21^st December to 14^th December 2020. Previously, the examination was scheduled to be conducted from 1^st to 18^th November 2020 but then it got postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak. The CA 2020 admit card has been released already by the authority on its official website.
