If you are looking for direct admission, you can apply for SPPU-affiliated Private Engineering Colleges like MIT WPU, Pimpiri Chinchwad College and many more. Whereas, Government Colleges like College of Engineering Pune (COEP) don't offer direct admission. Here, admission is strictly based on MHT CET or JEE Main merit rank, followed by CAP Counselling. Even if you are looking for management seats, appearing in either MHT CET or JEE Main is mandatory, although you don't satisfy the cutoff.

Since you have scored 78th percentile in MHT-CET and you belong to the OBC category, chances for admission at SPPU-affiliated colleges are high, especially in branches such as ECE, E&TC, or IT. However, top-ranked colleges such as the College of Engineering, Pune, require a percentile above 95–98, usually even for the OBC category. However, mid-tier colleges such as Sinhgad College, Dhole Patil College, or D.Y. Patil College may accept a score of 78 percentile.

Based on the MHT CET Result, candidates must register for CAP counselling (Centralised Admission Process).
