For Delhi domicile (Home State) candidates, the minimum JEE Main percentile required for B.Tech at NSUT is 94 to 95 percentile for less competitive branches and 99+ percentile for top branches like CSE AI and Computer Engineering, based on 2025 JAC Delhi closing ranks. For Outside Delhi (OS) quota candidates, the General category JEE Main percentile required is 98.5 to 99+ even for ECE, as NSUT reserves 85% of seats for Delhi domicile students.

NSUT offer limited management quota seats with JEE Main as a prerequisite, purely donation-based admission without an entrance score is not available at any of these colleges.

B.Tech admission at NSUT is based on JEE Main scores through GGSIPU counselling, with 85% of seats reserved for Delhi-domicile candidates and 15% for outside-Delhi applicants. The NSUT JEE Main 2025 closing rank for general category ranged from 3,500 for CSE to 30,000+ for core engineering branches.

Direct admission is impossible at NSUT. It is a state university where admission is strictly on the basis of JEE Main entrance exam score followed by cutoff criteria.
