North Maharashtra University School of Environmental and Earth Sciences

North Maharashtra University established the Department of Environmental and Earth Science in the year 1999 July. This Environmental and Earth Science department has a 7500 sq. m and is a very spacious vast area. This Environmental and Earth science school includes four teaching departments: the Department of Environmental Sciences, Department of Applied Geography, Department of Applied Geology, and Environmental Science and Technology. This institute has established state-of-the-art laboratories and library facilities in a short span of almost 14 years to deliver an excellent environmental and Earth Sciences education.

• North Maharashtra University School of Environmental and Earth Science runs eight programs under the Department of Environmental and Earth Science, namely M.Sc., M.A, M.Tech, and Ph.D. Along with which additionally, there are certificates and online certificate courses. This University provides just a post-graduation program under the Department of Environmental and Earth Science.
• M.Sc. program is mainly offered in four specializations as Environmental sciences, Applied Geology, Applied Geology (PPPR), and Environmental Science (PPPE). The other two courses are M.Tech in Environmental Science and Technology and M.A/M.Sc in Applied Geography.
• To take North Maharashtra University School of Environmental and Earth Science admissions into courses like M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A, Advertisement will be published in the newspapers in May or June month every year. Also, the application form prescribed will be available in the department office of the university.
• Admission to the courses will be conducted based on merit in the previous qualifying examination, and there won’t be a need to write any entrance exam. The intake capacity of the M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences is 25 yearly, and for M.Sc. in Applied Geography and Applied Geology will be 20 seats annually.
• In this university, there will be seats reserved for all the programs based on the reservation rules and norms provided by the Maharashtra government and Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University. Almost 50% of the seats are reserved for the open category, and the remaining will be for the reserved category.

This School of Environmental and Earth Sciences consists of well-equipped laboratories such as Environmental monitoring, metrological Monitoring stations, etc.  This university provides good accommodation amenities found-localized scholars, both men and women. The Boys hostel can provide an accommodation facility for up to 561 students, and the girl's hostel can hold up to 600 students.
