Nalanda Medical College and Hospital

Nalanda Medical College and Hospital is shortly called NHMC, is a public college for medical studies situated in Patna, India, which started in the year 1970. The intake capacity of the college is 100 students who are currently have increased to 120 students. This is a government-funded medical institute affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University and recognized by the Medical Council of India. 

• Nalanda Medical College and Hospital offer MBBS course and post-graduation courses in Preventive & Social Medicine, Pharmacology, Pathology, Toxicology, Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Forensic science, etc.
• The hospital has over 750+ beds, and the campus is sprawling over 100 acres of land, having two campuses. The first campus located at Bhoothnath is having an administrative block, hostels for UG students, a library, college, Theatre, lecture hall, and buildings for various other things.
• The second campus is located at Agamkuan, having a hospital block, blood bank, hostels for PG students, interns, and nursing students. There are two auditoria, one at the college campus and the other one at the hospital campus.
• In Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, there are about four courses at UG and PG level. MBBS course is a 4 ½ year course with mandatory 1-year internships in hospitals associated with it.
• The All India medical entrance exam fills UG admission in Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, namely NEET-UG, and seats are filled single window process.
• 85% of admissions are given by BCECE, which is of the state level, and the remaining 15% admissions are given to NEET candidates, which is National Level.
