Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur

Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur, also known as Indira Gandhi Agricultural University (IGAU), is an Autonomous State University begun in the academic year 1987 for providing the program in the agricultural stream. The University is having 15 private college affiliated and 23 government colleges’ constituents. The University was started as a Labhandi Farm, which is now developed and improved itself into University.  The University has an objective to develop its students with outstanding, knowledgeable capabilities for the nation.

IGKV offers Agricultural programs at undergraduate & postgraduate levels such as B.Tech, B.Sc., M.Tech, M.Sc., MBA, and Ph.D. by having approval from AICTE, New Delhi, and recognition from UGC. The University does have separate departments for Agronomy, Forestry, Plant Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Economics, Agrometeorology, Fruit Science, Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Agricultural Extension, Genetics, and Plant Breeding, Plant Physiology, Agricultural Bio-Chemistry, Medicinal and Aromatic Plant, Entomology, Agricultural Microbiology, Agri-Business and Rural Management, Agricultural Statistics and Social Science & Vegetable Science.

• IGKV Fee structure approximately is B.Tech INR 50664/- for four years, M.Tech INR 33600/- for two years, Ph.D. INR 55800/-, MBA INR 97244/- for two years, M.Sc. INR 22608/- for two years and B.Sc. INR 30632/- for three years.
• IGKV Hostel facility is provided for boys with an intake of 475 students. The hostel rooms are well equipped with basic facilities.
• IGKV Placement was done with the highest package of INR 4.8 LPA with top recruiters such as Bayer India, State Warehouse Corporation, Surya Chakra Pvt. Ltd., Central Bank of India, Basix, State Bank of India, Nature Touch Landscape, Private Agricultural College, Coromandel International Limited and Madhu Fertilizers, etc.

IGKV Admission will be based on the entrance exam that is CG PAT, and the IGKV Application form can be applied both online and offline.
