CMJ University

The Act of Meghalaya State Legislature started CMJ University in the year 2009. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India, and the Ministry of HRD. The students are provided with an ambient atmosphere for intellectual development and are transformed into future professionals of the industrial sectors. The university encourages strong links between students and lecturers and provides research opportunities to help them achieve their ambitions.

• The university's mission is to provide the students of weaker sections with affordable education to cultivate a good career for the future.
• The university covers 40 acres of land and has basic facilities like a library, hostel, cafeteria, common room, transport, Wi-Fi and internet facilities, laboratories, medical facility, and sports facility.
• The curriculum is designed to improve values like dignity, reason, intellect, and respect among the students.
• The students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities to transform them into human resources with unique character.

The CMJ Educational Institute, located at Jorabat, was established as a private university in the Indian state, Meghalaya. The university offers the students knowledge-based teaching, learning, and research in engineering, law, applied science, architecture, pharmacy, and many more. The university provides various extra-curricular activities such as seminars, debates, quizzes, industrial visits, and so on, along with academic programs to enhance student's overall skills.
