Tezpur University Centre of Open & Distance Learning was established in 2011 to provide high-quality education through distance learning. As per the UGC Regulations, it was renamed in 2020 as Tezpur University Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Thus, online programs are introduced.

Tezpur University Distance Learning MA Course

Tezpur University Distance Learning (TU CODL) offers distance-learning MA Programs in Sociology, English, and Mass Communication at the Postgraduate Level.

The MA program lasts for two years. Students seeking the MA must hold a bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Candidates will be selected based on merit. Students with a BA as an undergraduate Degree in a relevant discipline will be preferred over others.

Tezpur University Distance Learning PG Diploma

The Centre of Distance Learning at Tezpur University offers postgraduate diplomas in four fields.

The diploma program lasts one year, and admission to the PG diploma is determined by the performance of an undergraduate degree.

How to get Admission to Tezpur University Distance Learning Courses

Distance education students can fill out an application for admission to Tezpur University by the schedule on the University's official website. At the time of admission, only the candidate who has been chosen will be required to submit certified copies of all of the marks and documents.

The application form is available online to students. Students must visit the University's website to access the application form. In some programs, applicants may submit three applications on the same form.

• Fill out your name, birth date, email address, and mobile number to register.
• To finish the first part of the application, enter a password, upload a picture and signature, and click the "register" button.
• Sign in to the account with the login & password to access the application form.
• Top off the internet-based application structure, transfer photos, check duplicates of declarations, mark sheets, and personality reports, and submit.
• Candidates must use PayTM to pay the INR 500/- (INR 250/- for SC/ST) fees.

• Students at TU CDOE have access to additional learning resources through online platforms. These platforms include the Learning Management System (LMS), online discussion forums, and virtual classrooms.
• Students are given Regular Tezpur University Distance Education assignments to check their comprehension of the material. The students' study materials serve as the basis for the assignments.
• Each academic year, TU CDOE conducts term-end examinations. Offline mode is used to conduct the tests.
• Therefore, distance education's Degree of adaptability offered to students may be its most obvious advantage.
• Students have more control over when and where they study in remote learning because most modern distance learning is online.
