Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University previously known as Bhavnagar University, is a State University accredited by the UGC. It was founded in 1978 by the State of Gujarat and is spread across 3 locations and a vast 269 acres of land in the city of Bhavnagar in the western Indian province of Gujarat. MKBU has been accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade and is recognized by the UGC.
MKBU Bhavnagar has nine faculties, including the Faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Education, Rural Studies, Medicine, Management Studies, and Engineering & Technology. Bhavnagar University Course Admissions
The MKBU admission process is conducted online mode. It issues an admission notification in the month of May-June every year. Candidates who wish to get admission must fill out the MKBU online application form available on the official website of the University within the stipulated time. The application fee is to be paid online.
- Admissions to the UG and PG Courses are offered based on academic merit in the last qualifying exam.
- The admission authority releases a Bhavnagar University merit list based on the candidate's scores in the previous qualifying examination.
- Then, the shortlisted candidates need to appear for the counseling round, and based on their merit, they can secure their seats.
- However, the applicants need to satisfy the eligibility norms. Candidates applying to the Bhavnagar University UG Courses must have obtained at least 45% marks in 10+2.
- Candidates for PG admission must have completed their graduation with at least 50% in the concerned stream.
