Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University previously known as Bhavnagar University, is a State University accredited by the UGC. It was founded in 1978 by the State of Gujarat and is spread across 3 locations and a vast 269 acres of land in the city of Bhavnagar in the western Indian province of Gujarat. MKBU has been accredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade and is recognized by the UGC.

MKBU Bhavnagar has nine faculties, including the Faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Education, Rural Studies, Medicine, Management Studies, and Engineering & Technology. The University also has a separate department for Distance Education and offers a variety of courses for students who cannot attend regular classes. Bhavnagar University Course Admissions

The MKBU admission process is conducted online mode. The University issues an admission notification in the month of May-June every year. Admissions to the UG and PG Courses are offered based on academic merit in the last qualifying exam.
