Velammal College of Engineering and Technology B Tech Admission
VCET offers BE/B Tech in six branches for four years. Candidates must have completed a 10+2 programme with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, with a combined average of at least 50% in all three disciplines.

• Admissions to the B.E/B.The Tech programme will be made through the admissions process, which will follow the rules set forth by the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Board (TNEA).
• Students who are willing to secure B Tech admission at VCET have to register for TNEA Counselling because the final seat allocation occurs through counselling.
• Anna University will conduct the TNEA Counselling. Based on the 12th score, the authority will publish TNEA Merit List.
• Students whose name features in the TNEA Merit List or Rank List will be eligible to participate in the counselling session.

Velammal College of Engineering and Technology M Tech Admission
VCET offers PG degree M Tech in four major streams. Candidates who have done their UG degree BE/B Tech with a minimum of 50% marks can apply for M Tech admission at VCET. Candidates from the reserved categories will receive a 5% reduction in their exam scores.

• M Tech selection criteria at VCET depends on TANCET Score. Therefore, Anna University will conduct TANCET Entrance Exam.
• Students who qualify for the entrance test have to attend the counselling session. That is TANCET Counselling. Based on the rank and choice of preferences, seat allocation takes place.

Students who are securing admission through TNEA or TANCET must log in to their respective websites to fill an online application form.
TNEA application forms are as follows:

• Candidates must go to the website's home page and click the "register" tab.
• They must fill out their personal information and academic qualifications after successfully completing the registration process.
• Proceed to pay the application cost and submit it. The application fees for TNEA Registration cost approx. INR 500.
• Upon successful payment, applicants have to take the printout of the duly filled application form. And submit it as a hard copy by attaching attach the relevant self-attested documents via post.
