Stanley College of Engineering and Technology For Women was established in Hyderabad in 2008, and has been an exemplary institution approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. It is also one of the five women’s engineering colleges in India that has been granted Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is affiliated to Osmania University, Hyderabad. This college offers UG and PG level courses in Engineering and Management.

Admission Details For B.Tech Courses

Stanley University offers a four-year full-time AICTE-approved undergraduate level programme in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in a variety of specializations. The departments and seats intake are given below:

What Are The Eligibility Requirements?

For B.Tech courses, the eligibility criteria that a candidate must fulfil include:

  • The candidate must have scored a minimum of 45 percent in an Intermediate or 10+2 exam, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as required subjects from a Government of Telangana recognised board or equivalent (40 percent for reserved category).
  • Telangana State Government's EAMCET entrance exam must be passed.
  • The minimum age requirement is 16 years, with no upper age limit.

What are the selection criteria for eligible candidates?

Admission is finalised with counselling, based on the results obtained in TS EAMCET examinations for that academic year.

  • The online registration for TS EAMCET counselling is announced every year.
  • For OC/BC category, the fees for counselling is INR 1200/-
  • For SC/ST category, the fees for counselling is INR 600/-

What Are The Steps For Counselling?

These steps need to be followed to clear the counselling for Stanley College:

  • Registration- Online registration and document verification needs to be completed by eligible candidates.
  • Verification of documents- This is done based on the rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam.

What Does The Seat Allocation Look Like?

At SCETW, as per the notifications issued by the Telengana State Council of Higher Education, 70% of seats are under convenor quota. 30% of seats are under management quota.

Admission Details For M.Tech/M.E Courses

SCETW offers a two-year full-time AICTE-approved post-graduate degree programme in Master of Engineering or M.E. in one specialisation. This includes the following:

  • ECE Embedded Systems

Two years of full-time work Master of Technology, an AICTE-approved postgraduate degree programme, is available in two specialisations:

  • Computer Science
  • Digital Systems

The seats intake for Embedded Systems is 30, while for Digital Systems it is 24.

Which Candidates Are Eligible For This?

A candidate who has the following is eligible to apply for this course.

  • Completed B.E or B.Tech in CS/IT, EE or an equivalent of these degrees from a recognised institution
  • Having a valid rank in GATE or PGECET exam

What Is The Selection Criteria For M.Tech/M.E at SCETW?

Counselling for admission is conducted as per the rank in GATE or PGECET exam. Note that these have different selection procedures.

For GATE qualified candidates:

  • Online registration- candidates are required to register online and deposit the requisite fees (INR 600/- for General and INR 300/- for Reserved categories)
  • Application form fill-up- The candidate then needs to fill up the form with all relevant details and upload a scanned copy with the GATE hall ticket.
  • Document verification- the candidate then needs to get all relevant documents such as ID, GATE score, certificates and marksheets, residence proof and income certificate.
  • Option to choose the preferred course- once all documents are verified, the candidate can fill in the choice of colleges and courses.
  • Seat allotment- the final step is done according to the basis of rank in GATE or PGECET exam, as well as availability. This is only a provisional step, the final allotment takes place when the candidate visits the college and deposits fees.

For PGECET qualified candidates:

  • Registration- this is done online and counselling fees of INR 1200/- for General and INR 600/- for Reserved categories needs to be paid.
  • Document verification- one needs to take with them all relevant documents for the verification to be complete.
  • Option to confirm choices- the candidate then gets the chance to fill in the choice of colleges and courses.
  • Allotment of seats- this is done on the basis of availability and rank in GATE or PGECET examination.

Admission Details For MBA Courses

  • SCETW offers a two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme that has been authorised by the AICTE.
  • The intake capacity is 60 seats.

What Is The Eligibility Criteria For MBA at SCETW?

  • The candidate needs to be a graduate of any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised university (45 percent for reserved category).
  • The candidate must have passed the ICET entrance exam with a valid score.
  • Students who are in their final year are eligible for provisional admission. They must submit their certificates within the specified time frame.

What Is The Selection Criteria?

  • Admissions are only made on the basis of merit and through counselling based on the Telangana State ICET exam score.
  • Fees for counselling are INR 600 for general candidates and INR 300 for SC/ST candidates.
  • The qualifying score for the general category was 25%.

What Is The Counselling Process?

  • Certificate Verification Candidate Registration – A student must register for counselling based on their TS ICET result. Based on the obtained rank, she will be summoned for certificate verification.
  • Verification of documents or certificates - Students must present caste certificates, educational certificates, rank cards, hall tickets, marksheet, study certificates, and income certificates for verification.
  • Option selection on the internet - Candidates can choose from a number of colleges and finalise their choices before the deadline. 
  • Allotment of seats- this is done on the basis of merit and seat intake.
  • Fee deposition- once the student is allotted a particular college, she can deposit her fees to finalise her admission.
