SMITW was established in 2008, located in Guntur Andhra Pradesh which provides education to young women. It is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and approved by AICTE. The College has also been graded A by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The College provide technical education in the engineering field to young women.

The Institute is currently offering an Undergraduate, Postgraduate and lateral program in Engineering and Management departments. The Institute provides B. Tech in CE, EEE, ME, ECE, CSE, M. Tech in offers in TE, CSE, PEED, VLSI Design & Embedded System and MBA in management fields. The College also offers B. Tech lateral courses in various departments. The Admission at SMITW depends on the marks scored in AP EAMCET, M. Tech admission depends on AP PGECET, and MBA admission depends on AP ICET entrance exam tests. Also, the access for B. Tech Lateral entry will rely on the AP ECET entrance test.

Sri Mittapalli Institute of Technology for Women B. Tech Admission 

• SMITW offers a B. Tech program with 120 students per academic year for four years as the Institute requirements. 
• The College offers five specializations under B. Tech courses and candidates are given admission based on entrance exam marks.  
• The selection for B. Tech depends on marks scored in AP EAMCET ranks conducted by Andhra Pradesh Govt.
• To appear in the AP EAMCET entrance test for B. Tech candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized board.  
• The Govt rules decide the seat allotments, and 70% of the seats will be provided to A category students, and 30% will be provided to B category candidates. 
• The A category students who have cleared AP EAMCET and B category will be provided for students NRI and Management quota.  
• SMITW also offers a B. Tech lateral program to students with 50% marks in six disciplines with an annual intake of 60 students per annum.   
• Admission for B. Tech Lateral entry will be through AP ECET entrance test scores.

Sri Mittapalli Institute of Technology for Women M. Tech Admission 

• SMITW offers M. Tech courses under four disciplines and the classes are provided for four years to candidates with an annual intake of 18 students. 
• The Admission for M. Tech at SMITW will depend on GATE or AP PGECET scores conducted by the AP State Govt. 
• To apply for the entrance test, candidates must have passed B. Tech or BE courses with 50% marks from the authorized board. 
• The seats for M. Tech is divided into two categories, i.e. category A and B 70% of the seats will be provided to AP PGECET rank holders, and SMITW will provide 30% of seats to the candidates of NRI and Management.

Sri Mittapalli Institute of Technology for Women MBA Admission 

• SMITW offers an MBA course for two years, and 60 students are given seats based on their marks scores in academics and entrance exams. 
• The candidates seeking admission for MBA must have cleared AP ICET entrance test scores.
• Candidates seeking admission for MBA must appear in AP ICET must have passed Bachelor's degree with 50% marks. 
• The final selection for the MBA program will be based on previous academic scores and marks scored in the entrance exam.
