IIT Bombay DEFERMENT POLICY

New Admissions:

Candidates seeking to defer their admission can do so only to the next starting batch. The paid booking/instalment amount will be adjusted in the fee to be paid when joining the deferred batch. However, a candidate cannot enter the immediate next batch. In that case, they must undergo the entire selection process again, and the paid booking/instalment amount will not be considered in the fee.

 

Ongoing Students - Leave of Absence:

For ongoing students with a valid reason to pause their education temporarily, they offer the option of a Leave of Absence. Students can pick up where they left off with the next cohort after meeting with the CEO and Finance team to understand the tuition implications. Students can apply for a formal Leave of Absence or Medical Leave of Absence in cases requiring an extended leave. The CEO's office will provide the necessary form for this application.

 

Candidates must pay for the Booking Amount to secure their place if selected for the program. The instalment fees will also need to be paid as required. All necessary documents must be submitted to finalize the application, including the Letter of Recommendation and the Sponsor's Letter of Commitment.
