Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences admissions for MBBS are done every academic year with a vacancy of about 100 seats. RIMS merit admissions are done based on performance in NEET and KCET entrance exams. There’s no proper number for the RIMS NEET cutoff, as it varies every academic year. Also, the candidates are required to meet the RIMS eligibility criteria for MBBS that includes 50% aggregate in physics, chemistry and biology majors of 12th grade from a recognized board. On the other hand, RIMS direct admissions are offered for those who don’t make it through the merit admissions. To be noted, RIMS application fee is minimal and can be submitted at the college’s admissions office.
MBBS admission in Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences is purely on the basis of NEET score. If students fails to clear NEET exam then they is no way to get this institute. Since the institute is government the admission is through UG NEET based followed with counselling and document verification process. Nearly 150 seats are available under MBBS course in this institute. For admission, aspirants have to clear cut off set the government and the NEET cut off varies every year accordingly. I can tell the only option for joining this institute is clearing NEET exam and attending counselling process.
I studied MBBS in this institute and the admission was actually based on the NEET. NEET is the test that is conduced all over India for giving MBBS admission. I also did write that and through that I actually got admission. Raichur Institute of medical sciences cut off 7303-8608 is the general category ranking in NEET, 52146-54148 and 68451-68451 is the SC & ST ranking respectively. NEET-UG is the test which must be written by all the students who are looking for admission in the MBBS course. KEA is in which we will have to apply for counselling and through which even I got seat in this college.
