PTR College of Engineering and Technology (PTRCET), is situated in Madurai in Tamil Nadu State. Campus expanses over 15 acres of land, constituting numerous amenities for students. • PTRCET offers admission to the B Tech/BE at the UG level and ME/M Tech at the PG level.
• Admission at PTR college is based on entrance exam scores and merit. To apply for admissions, students must full fill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the college.

PTR College of Engineering and Technology BE/B Tech Admission
PTR College provides admission to the UG program BE/B Tech. Seven specializations are available in BE/B Tech. The annual intake for each branch is 30 seats, and the course duration will be for four years.

• For admission to the B Tech at PTR College depends on TNEA Merit Rank. Anna University will release the merit list based on 10+2 Marks.
• Students who have acquired a least 50% marks in 10+2 PCM subjects are eligible to apply for admission.
• At first, students must register for TNEA Counselling based on their 12th score. Later, Anna University will publish the TNEA Merit list.
• Students whose names are included in the list can participate in the TNEA Counselling session and fill in their preferences.

PTR College of Engineering and Technology M Tech Admission
M Tech degree at PTR College is available in four core specializations. The annual intake capacity for M Tech is 18 seats. The specializations are Computer Science, Engineering Design, Medical Electronics, Power Electronics & Drive.

• B Tech graduates who have obtained more than 50% marks can seek admission to the M Tech at PTRCET.
• In addition, they must clear the state level entrance exam that is TANCET. Anna University will conduct the TANCET.
• Thus, students have to register for an entrance exam and perform well as equivalent to the minimum cut off criteria set by PTR College.

PTR College of Engineering and Technology Application Process
Admission to the BE/B Tech or M Tech will be made according to the guidelines specified by Anna University. At first, students must register online for the respective entrance exams by logging into the official website. (TNEA or TANCET)
How to apply for TNEA?

• Go to the official website of the college
• On the homepage, click on apply now link
• Register yourself by entering the required details. Once the registration process is done, you will receive the login credentials.
• Use those login credentials to fill a TNEA application form. Enter all the relevant details correctly in the form.
• Make the payment of application fees online. TNEA application fees cost approx. 500/-
• Take a screenshot of the page after completing the application process as proof in case of any discrepancy.
• Then submit the application form in the prescribed period.

Documentations required in the application process

• Scanned copy of original mark sheet of class 10th, 12th in case of B.Tech.
• Scanned copy of the original mark sheet of class 10th and diploma in BE (Lateral Entry).
• Scanned copy of 10th, 12th/diploma, B.Tech/B.E mark sheets.
• Take these original certificates to the college at the time of physical reporting.
• Proof of online payment made at the time of application.
