Eligibility Criteria/Cut-off for Admissions 2020

National Law University, located in Delhi was established in the year of 2008. The institution has been accredited with A grade by NAAC and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university is known for offering quality education and it also received 2nd rank in the law school category of National Ranking Framework (NIFR).

  • National Law University offers Degree and doctoral courses in the discipline of law and Management.
  • At under graduate level, the university offers five years duration of BA. LLB (Hons). Candidates who aspire to take admission in BA. LLB course must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with not less than 50% marks from a recognised organization.
  • Total intake of candidates into BA. LLB course is 80 students per annum.
  • Final selection of the candidates for admission into BA. LLB will be done on the basis of merit obtained in the AILET entrance exam. Candidate will have to score a minimum of 40% marks (30% marks for SC/ ST candidates) in the AILET entrance exam to be eligible for admission.
  • National Law University offers a year duration of LLM course. Total intake of candidates into LLM program is 20 students per annum.
  • To be eligible for admission into LLM course, applicants must score a minimum of 55% marks in LLB exam or equivalent degree.
  • Final selection will be based on the AILET entrance exam followed by an interview.
  • National Law University also offers Ph. D in Law. Candidates aspiring to enrol in the doctorate degree must hold a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent.
  • Admission to the Ph. D program is based on a written test conducted by the university and merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/ JRF/ SLET are exempted from appearing for a written test.
  • The application process at National Law University is conducted online. To apply for admission, the candidate must visit the university official website.

The application fee is INR 3050 for general category and INR 1050 for SC/ ST candidates.

In my opinion admission fee is actually expensive but certain scholarships and educational loans are provided for the students. National Law University admissions for BALLB will be granted on the basis of CLAT Entrance Exam score and the NLU application fee charges around INR 4000 and the application form can be filled up through online

What is the clat cutoff? I want to take admission in GNLU.

CLAT cut-off for BA LLB is 147-417 in general, students aspired to take BA LLB admissions at Gujarat National Law University need to have scored within the cut-off will be able to take seats for the course.


I have given clat and got sc rank 328 , now I'm unable to pay BA LLB University fee in that less time.

Candidates willing to take BA LLB admission in Gujarat National Law University and not able to make the fee payment can pay the course fee in instalment that is academic yearly basis or semester basis too. If candidate choose to pay the fee per academic yearly basis it would be approx. INR 1.86 lakhs and it can also be divided into half and settled semester basis. Up on this there are scholarships offered for those merit, category based and other related scholarships. For further fee deduction one can visit or contact the college admission office.

Candidates must have appeared for the CLAT and through official site of CLAT applicants will register for counselling process through cut-off and other criteria one can take LLB admission to Gujarat National Law University              .
