National Law University, located in Delhi, was established in 2008. The institution has been accredited with an A grade by NAAC and is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university is known for offering quality education, and it also received 2nd rank in the law school category of the National Ranking Framework (NIFR).

  • National Law University offers Degree and doctoral courses in law and management discipline.
  • At the undergraduate level, the university offers five years duration of BA. LLB (Hons). Candidates who aspire to take admission in BA. LLB course must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with not less than 50% marks from a recognized organization.
  • Total intake of candidates into BA. LLB course is 80 students per annum.
  • Final selection of the candidates for admission into BA. LLB will be done based on merit obtained in the AILET entrance exam. The candidate will have to score a minimum of 40% marks (30% marks for SC/ ST candidates) in the AILET entrance exam to be eligible for admission.
  • National Law University offers a year duration of LLM course. The total intake of candidates into the LLM program is 20 students per annum.
  • To be eligible for admission into the LLM course, applicants must score a minimum of 55% marks in the LLB exam or equivalent degree.
  • The final selection will be based on the AILET entrance exam followed by an interview.
  • National Law University also offers Ph. D in Law. Candidates aspiring to enroll in the doctorate must hold a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent.
  • Admission to the Ph. D program is based on a written test conducted by the university and merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/ JRF/ SLET are exempted from appearing for a written test.
  • The application process at National Law University is conducted online. The candidate must visit the university's official website to apply for admission.

The application fee is INR 3050 for the general category and INR 1050 for SC/ ST candidates.
