National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra Admission

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra is one of the public engineering and management institutes established in 2008 in Kurukshetra. The Institute has been accredited with Institute of National Important status and is one of the 30 Technical National Institutes administered under the Indian Government.

The Institute is currently offering programs in Engineering and Management programs at UG, PG, and Research levels such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, and Ph.D. with several specializations.

• 15% scholarship is reserved for SC students, and 7.5% is reserved for ST students.
• 3% Scholarship over & above sanctioned strength reserved for PwD students.
• 5% relaxation in marks of the qualifying exam is provided for SC, ST, and PwD students.

NIT Kurukshetra Admission Schedule:

NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech Admissions:

The students are offered an Engineering program at the undergraduate level for four years, eight semesters with seven specializations. The students seeking to pursue a B.Tech degree will have to pass in 10+2 or equivalent in Science stream with PCM Subjects from a well-recognized board.

• The Indian students will be provided with admission to the B.Tech program based on the CSAB Counseling.
• The Foreign National students will be provided admission to the B.Tech program through DASA based on SAT exam scores.
• The Institute is having two other admission procedures such as ICCR and MEA.

NIT Kurukshetra B.Tech Cut Off:

NIT Kurukshetra M.Tech Admissions:

NIT offers an Engineering program at the postgraduate level to meet the essential eligibility criteria for two years with 18 specializations. The basic eligibility required for applying to the program is a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology in the applicable stream with 60% or 6.5 CGPA in all the semesters from a well-recognized university. The students who have studied for PGD are also eligible to apply for M.Tech, and the duration is one year.

Admission for the Sponsored students will be based on Merit in the qualifying exam and performance in the university's counseling.

NIT Kurukshetra M.Tech Cut Off:

NIT Kurukshetra MBA and MCA Admissions:

The Institute is also offering Business Administration and Computer Application programs at the postgraduate level other than just engineering. The students seeking admission to the MBA program must have basic eligibility of bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 50% marks from a recognized university. The exams accepted by the Institute for MBA admissions are CAT, CMAT, MAT, and GMAT. The merit list for MBA admissions will be prepared based on the entrance exam performance, group discussion, and personal interview.

The students seeking admission to the MCA program must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science or Business Administration or Computer Applications with at least 60% marks of 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university. The students will be selected for admissions based on marks obtained in the NIMCAT exam, followed by counseling.

The students seeking admission to NIT Kurukshetra will first read the Institute’s official website's rules and regulations. The Application form has to be downloaded, filled with accurate details, and attached with necessary documents. The duly filled application form must be submitted by paying an application processing fee through a speed post or registered post with E-Receipt.
