Methodist College of Engineering Technology is a non-minority educational school founded in 2008 on a magnificent 6.53-acre campus in Abids, in the heart of Hyderabad, the city of pearls (Capital city of Telangana state). The college is easily accessible by public transportation from all parts of the city. MCET is connected with Osmania University at the state level, while at the national level, it is affiliated with AICTE. MCET BE Admission

MCET offers five different types of Bachelor of Engineering streams.

Eligibility Criteria for B Tech in MCET

  • The minimum requirement for the BE at MCET is a 10+2 diploma from a recognized board, including optional physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects.
  • In addition, candidates shall have cleared 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks. Reserved categories can secure at least 40%.
  • For B Tech Lateral Entry, candidates shall have completed a diploma with at least 45% marks in the concerned discipline.

Selection Criteria for B Tech in MCET

  • Admission for the BE at MCET is based on the candidate's performance in the TS EAMCET entrance examination.
  • For B Tech Lateral Entry, the TS ECET entrance test will determine admission at MCET.
  • At MECT, admissions will be offered under two categories that is convenor quota and management quota.
  • 70% of seats under the convenor quota will be filled through TS EAMCET Counselling.
  •  While admission to the Management quota at MCET, candidates can fill the form directly by visiting the college's main website. Or, students can approach the admission authority by visiting the campus.

MCET M Tech Admission

  • M Tech at Methodist college is available in CAD/CAM, Computer Science, Communication Engg Digital Processing.
  • Candidates applying for the ME program at MCET must have finished a BE / B. Tech degree or its equivalent in the relevant field.
  • For M Tech admission in MCET, students will be selected based on TS PGECET score. Candidates with valid GATE scores can even apply for admission.
  • During the seat allotment procedure, the first priority will be given for GATE qualifiers. However, if any seats remain, then the seat allotment will be done for PGECET qualifiers.

MCET MBA Admission

  • MBA at MCET is available in the general stream. Candidates who have done their UG degree in any stream can apply for MBA admission at MCET. The minimum qualifying score should be around 50%.
  • The selection of the students will be based on the candidate's performance in TS ICET Score.
  • To get eligible for admission in MBA, candidates must score at least 25% in the TS ICET entrance test as minimum marks. 

MCET Application Process

Candidates seeking admission to the UG or PG courses under the management quota at MCET can fill the online application form available at the college's main website. However, students applying under the convenor quota have to register for the respective entrance tests TS EAMCET, ECET, ICET, PGECET.

  • Candidates can now apply online or download the application form.
