Mangalore University School of Science & Technology was founded in the academic year of 1980 and is located in Karnataka. It is a state university that offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The university is known for offering quality education and is ranked 101 by NIRF. All the institution's UG & PG programs are under the approval of the University grants commission (UGC). Mangalore University also received NAAC accreditation of A grade.

• Mangalore University School of Science & Technology offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Science, Computer Applications, Arts, Medical, Management, Commerce, and Education under numerous specializations.
• At the undergraduate level, Mangalore University offers a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P. ED) course of three years.
• Students are admitted into B. P. ED course based on their marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2) followed by the university's entrance test. The university has few seats under sports quota. So the students are also selected based on the student's sports representation.
• Mangalore University offers Master of Science (M. Sc), Master of Arts (MA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Commerce (M. Com), and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) at the postgraduate level.
• The total intake of students into M. Sc programs is 40 students per annum/ per specialization; into MA course is 42 students per annum/ per discipline; into MBA program is 31 students per annum/ per domain; MCA program is 60 students per annum and 129 students per annum is the total intake into M. Com program.
• The minimum eligibility required for admission into any post-graduate programs is that the candidate must have a pass graduation degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
• The final selection for admission into MBA & MCA program is made based on the candidate’s score in the K- PGCET entrance examination. A valid score per the cut-off marks is mandatory to get shortlisted for admission. Cut off marks for the MBA course under the general category are 7005, under the SC category is 15827, and the ST category is 9620. Cut-off marks for the MCA course under the general category is 4288.
• Mangalore University also runs Ph. D and M. Phil programs under numerous specializations. Students' total intake into the M. Phil program is 3 students per annum and 8 students per annum into Ph. D program.
