JTMCOEF B. Tech Degree Program

J. T Mahajan College of Engineering offers four B. Tech specialization courses; all the courses require four years to complete the degree program. The institute follows the pattern of CBS (Credit Based System). The total intake capacity for each BE specialization course in JTMCOEF is-

JTMCOEF BE Eligibility  

  • Candidates who seek admission in J. T Mahajan College in the BE first year must have passed HSC or any equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate score of 45%.  SC/ST and all the backward class candidates will get a relaxation of 5%. 
  • Maths, Physics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects with Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocation subject as optional in 10+2.
  • For direct entry in the second year, the candidates must pass a diploma course in any relevant subject stated above with at least a 50% aggregate score.

JTMCOEF BE Selection Process

  • JTMCOEF will provide B. Tech admission according to the norms and guidelines specified by DTE, Maharashtra. 
  • The selection of students for BE admission at JTMCOEF is based on the score and rank of the students in JEE Mains or MH- CET. 
  • The final seat allocation is done via CAP (Centralized Admission Process), conducted by DTE, Government of Maharashtra.  To be eligible, students must qualify J T Mahajan College B. Tech Cutoff norms.
  • Students can claim their seats via Institute level quota at JTMCOEF, if seats remain vacant after CAP rounds. However, candidates seeking admission under Institute level seats have to apply under competent authority as the primary step.
  • Admission under ILQ will be provided based on inter-se merit. The competent authority is responsible for preparing the merit list. (Note: It is mandatory & pre-requisite to apply for Competent authority to secure admission under ILQ quota)
  • The college authority will invite the applications for ILQ through public announcements in newspapers. The seats will be filled strictly based on inter-se merit.

JTMCOEF M. Tech eligibility

Any candidate who wishes to apply for admission in the M. Tech Program in J. T Mahajan College of Engineering must- 

  • Pass a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of engineering. 
  • The candidate must score an aggregate of a minimum of 50% 
  • Candidates of backward class categories, as well as candidates with disabilities, will be given relaxation of 5% 

JTMCOEF M. Tech selection criteria

  • The selection of candidates for admission in JTMCOEF for the M. Tech program will be made based on their score in M. Sc/B.E/ B. Tech three-year Bachelor's Degree.
  • And, allotment of seats will be done through CAP by following the DTE guidelines.
  • You must pass the GATE exam if you wish to get into the M. Tech course. 
  • In case admission seats remain vacant after CAP Rounds, candidates can secure admission under the Institute level quota at J T Mahajan College.
