Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM), Kolkata was begun in 1989 as private management and engineering institute in Kolkata, West Bengal. IEM is one of the oldest institutes in the state offering B.Tech, BBA, BCA, M.Sc., MBA, PGDM, and M.Tech programs with affiliating to MAKAUT, Kolkata. Admission to the program will be based on IEM JEE exam score.

• B.Tech admission is based on IEM JEE score.
• BCA and BBA program admission is based on IEM JEE exam score.
• M.Sc. Program admission is through PGET or JAM or IEM JEE score.
• MBA admission is through JEMAT or CAT or IEM JEE score.

Undergraduate program of Engineering is provided for the students with six specializations for four years duration. Basic Eligibility for B.Tech program is 10+2 in Science Stream with minimum marks from recognized board. The selection process for B.Tech Admission will be based on JEE Main or IEM JEE or WBJEE score. The Institute even accepts lateral admission to B.Tech for Diploma students.

IEM, Kolkata BBA and BCA Admissions:

Business Administration and Computer Application programs are offered by the Institute at undergraduate level for three years duration. The basic eligibility for BBA program is 10th & 10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks from recognized board with 50% marks and for BCA program is 10th and 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics or Computer Science or Stats or Business Maths or Computer Application from recognized board. The selection process for both programs will be based on IEM JEE exam score followed by Counseling.

IEM, Kolkata MBA and PGDM Admissions:

The MBA program offered at the Institute is having affiliation to MAKAUT and PGDM program is having approval from AICTE. The programs are offered for two years with same seven specializations each. The basic eligibility required is Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks from recognized university along with valid score in CAT or IEM JEE or JEMAT for MBA and MAT for PGDM program. The selection process will be based on the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.

The students will have to download the Application form from the institute’s website. The application form has to be filled and submitted with all the documents by paying INR 200/- through DD towards application fee.

IEM, Kolkata M.Sc. Admissions:

The Institute also offers M.Sc. program with one specialization for two years duration. The basic eligibility required is graduation with 55% marks in Applied Physical Science or Computer Science or Mathematics along with valid score in PGET or JAMET or IEM JEE exam. The selection process will be based on the entrance exam score.

IEM, Kolkata M.Tech Admissions:

M.Tech program is offered by the Institute with three specializations for two years of duration. The basic eligibility required to apply for M.Tech program is B.Tech in applicable discipline with minimum marks from recognized university along with valid score in GATE or IEM JEE or PGET exams. The selection process will be based on the performance of the students in Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Counseling round. 

IEM, Kolkata Application Process:

IEM application Forms are made available in the official website for each program offered in the Institute. The students will have to apply online by choosing the program and filling the application form with required information and also attaching the necessary documents. The will have to apply for the IEM JEE exam through the website itself. Once the application for exam is submitted, the students will be informed about the hall ticket and exam date.
