Indian Institute of Management Trichy is known as IIM Trichy and is a business school established in Tamil Nadu. Indian Institute of Management (IIM Trichy) was started in 2011 and was set up under India's government and mentored by Bangalore's IIM. Indian Institute of Management (IIM Trichy) offers courses like PGPM (post-graduation program in Management) and PGPBM (Post graduation program in Business Management). The course duration of PGPM and PGPBM is for 2 years. The PGPBM course is specially designed for working professionals.

The candidates will be admitted to PGPM and PGPBM if they hold a Bachelor's degree and have secured at least 50% aggregate. Every candidate seeking admission in IIM Trichy for PGPM must appear for the CAT exam and score good marks per the IIM Trichy cut-off rank. Shortlisted candidates will finally have to appear for a written assessment test and personal Interview. Foreign and NRI candidates will have to apply only if they have good marks on GMAT.

The PGPM course's prerequisite is to have a CAT score to get admission the Cat exam will be held in 147 cities, and candidates can opt to attend the exam anywhere.

IIM Trichy's application fee is INR 1900 for general category candidates, whereas INR 950 for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The registration fee should be paid once, irrespective of the institutes they are applying to.

The first candidates will be selected based on their entrance exam scores. Later, eligibility will be invited for a written ability test, Personal Interview, and group discussions. Indian Institute of Management (IIM Trichy) PGPM and PGPBM Admission Process:

Indian Institute of Management (IIM Trichy) offers two courses under post-graduation programs, namely PGPM and PGPBM, as flagship courses. The course duration of PGPM and PGPBM are for 2 years. To be eligible to take admissions in the PGPM program, candidates will need a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate and a valid score in CAT. Every candidate who gets shortlisted initially will have to appear for a personal interview, written ability test, and group discussion for further evaluation for admissions.

The selection of candidates will be based on the candidates' overall performance, which includes academic performance, entrance exam score, interview, and written assessment test.

The PGPBM course offered by IIM Trichy is especially for working professionals seeking higher education. Candidates will need a minimum of 3 years of work experience full-time as an executive to take admissions in PGPBM.

PGPBM admissions will be given to candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria and whose application forms meet the criteria. Such candidates will be shortlisted for a written analysis test conducted by IIM Trichy.

Note for PGPBM:

  • Candidates with qualified CAT or GMAT scores will be exempted from the written analysis test, and application forms should be submitted, which should be completed in all respects.
  • Candidates with qualified CAT or GMAT scores may also opt to appear for the written test. In such cases, the score obtained in CAT or GMAT will not be considered, whereas marks obtained in the written test will be considered.
  • Those candidates who have qualified for either of these exams like CAT, GMAT, or written test only will be shortlisted for an Interview and intimated by email.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM Trichy) PGPM Selection Criteria:

IIM Trichy follows two phases of the selection process in which the candidates will be shortlisted for PGPM admissions.

Phase 1: IIM Trichy will prepare the merit list for the WAT and PI according to the candidates' CAT scores. Phase 2: Candidates who have been shortlisted will have to appear for a written ability test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Phase 3:  Phase 2 processes of the Interview and written test will be completed, based on which the merit list will be prepared for the final allotment of seats.

The application form should be filled out by downloading the application form from the official website, following the guidelines.

The application fee of INR 2000 should be paid for the PGPBM course. This fee is non-refundable.
