Himachal Pradesh University UG Admission

Some of the UG courses offered are BBA, BDS, BCA, MBBS, BHM, and LL.B. Each class is provided with its specialization. All the applicants must follow the eligibility criteria to submit their forms for Himachal Pradesh University admissions. Any UG degree requires 10+2 board exam scores at a minimum of 50% in all core subjects. It should include compulsory subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

To get seats in BDS and MBBS, candidates must have taken the NEET exam with satisfactory scores. Only some other UG courses will have their respective HPU entrance exam on a merit basis. They conduct GD and PI rounds for the final Selection of students.

Himachal Pradesh University PG admissions

The university is well known for offering postgraduate degrees like LLM, MBA, MMC, MTA, MRD, M.Com, MCA, M-Tech, and PGDMC programs, among others.

Applicants willing to gain admission to PG courses must have a relevant degree certificate with an aggregate CGPA in the interested subject specialization. Most of the PG programs will require percentages ranging between 45-55% in their UG.

Applicants submitting the form for admission to the MBA, LL.M, MCA, M.Com, MMC, and PGDMC courses must have a degree qualification. Along with this, they must have valid scores in the required entrance exam accepted.

Seat reservations for PG courses like M. Com., MTA, MDS, and MRD are based on the merit list. Entrance exam scores are also important considerations for giving admissions to students. For MBA seats, they must take the MAT entrance exam and GD and PI as conducted by the university.  

Note: Applicants must have attempted entrance exams like GATE, NET, or SLET according to the desired courses. Only qualified students with a proper cut-off will be given admission.

MA & M.Sc. Admissions in HPU

• The university offers the MA and M.Sc. courses at the postgraduate level. The MA course is being provided under 15 specializations, and the M.Sc. degree is being supplied under six disciplines.
• Candidates who hold a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university under a relevant stream are eligible to apply for the respective MA or M.Sc. courses.
• Seats to the following MA and M.Sc. subjects will be allotted based on performance in an entrance test.

B.Ed. & M.Ed. Admission HPU

Some of the significant essential courses are B.Ed. And M.Ed. Studies in various specializations. The eligibility criteria for these courses will be a UG and PG degree with an average aggregate or min of 55% for reserved category applicants by reducing it by 5% for physically challenged candidates.

M.Phil. and Ph.D. admissions in HPU

The M.Phil. And Ph.D. programs at the doctorate level offer around 21 specializations, and they offer 14 majors in Ph.D. courses. Applicants with a bachelor's and a PG degree in any relevant studies will be eligible to apply for these programs. They must require a minimum of 55% in their last qualifying exam in their degree courses.

Seat allocation for M.Phil. Ph.D. courses will be done based on candidates' scores gained in the entrance examination as specified and conducted by the university.

Applicants must apply for the program or course they are interested in offered by the university. They must fill in the HPU Online application form by visiting the main website. Candidates can apply only till the allowed date is specified on the website.

• Visit the university website using the HPU admission Login.
• Select the preferred course with the given specialization
• Accept all the terms and conditions before applying the form.
• Fill in the relevant details of the candidate (personal and educational).
• After entering all the info, they have to save the details with specific passwords.
• Candidates will have to take note of their ID number and HPU registration.
• Candidates must upload the documents and certificates in digital format.
• They will have to fill in the application fee online after filling out the application form.
• There will be an icon for making payments and choosing the method.
• They can pay via HDFC/ Cooperative Bank, debit/credit, or also net banking.
• Finally, click on the submission button and take a copy of it for further reference.

Reservation Criteria of HPU 

The seat reservation qualities are reserved for SC/ST students. They allow a relaxation of 5% with their minimum marks criteria. The University authorities concerned will announce further details about the reservation requirement at the time of admission.
