Direct Admission in Jaypee University of Information Technology 2026, Eligibility

Jaypee University of Information Technology, located in Solan, is popularized as JUIT. It is a private University that is accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade. JUIT is known for the quality of academics in engineering and other streams of education. The top priority course in JUIT is B-Tech at the UG level. The highest number of admissions in every academic year is in B-Tech with CSE specialisation. In general, JUIT admissions are based on merit or entrance exam scores, depending on the choice of program. 

Students can join UG or PG programs by following the simple JUIT admission process for 2026. Further details about the courses, admission process and eligibility criteria are mentioned below. 

BE/B.TECH Admission

Eligibility criteria based on JEE (Main) rank:

• The candidate should have a minimum academic qualification for admission to any one of the programs as laid down by JEE.
• The Candidate should have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent (as defined by JEE) with compulsory Mathematics and Physics subjects.

Eligibility Criteria:

• The candidate should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 10+2 or its equivalent with compulsory Mathematics and Physics subjects.

Jaypee University of Information Technology Admission Calendar

• The release of the Application process will be in March.
• The deadline for Application Submission (JEE-based) will be in June.
• The display of the Merit List (JEE Based) on the website will be in June.
• The deadline for Application Submission (Merit-Based) will be in June.
• Counselling for the candidates (10+2 Merit-Based) will be in July.
• Common Counselling for Seat Allotment (JEE Main) Rank Wise will be the month of July.
• Registration done at Respective Institutes will be in July.
• The commencement of Classes will be in July.

The procedure of applying:

• The candidates have to apply online from the university’s official website.
• The Application Fee Payment costs Rs 1200.

JEE (MAIN) BASED ADMISSION PROCEDURE

• Candidates must have appeared in the JEE conducted by the CBSE.
• The merit amongst applications received for Admission to Jaypee Universities(s) shall be drawn based only on the overall All India Rank of the JEE (Main) examination.
• The merit list for SC/ST candidates shall be made by applying the cut of 10% below the final Rank (in JEE Main Exam) obtained by the candidates shortlisted in the general cadre.

• All seats shall be allotted through JEE Main overall All India rank.

•  Based on the qualifying entrance exam score, students must register for the counselling process. 

• It is followed with choice filling step where the applicant must enter their preferred college name and course.

• Based on the entrance rank, preference, and category norms, seat allocations will be done. 

• If the seat remains vacant, then the remaining seats will be allotted through merit drawn on marks of 10+2 examinations.

Allocation of Seats

• Seats in the study programs shall be allotted based on preferences indicated at the time of counselling, in merit drawn based on 10+2 marks (3 subjects including Physics and mathematics.

Jaypee University of Information Technology Eligibility Criteria:

B-Tech: 

• Pass the 10+2 board exams in  PCM subjects as mandatory. Students must have secured an aggregate of 60% marks. 
• Appear for the JEE Main entrance exam as the selection criteria. 

BCA:

• Pass in 10+2 board exams with mathematics as manadatory subject with an aggregate of 50% marks. 
• Selections will be based on merit scores in the qualifying exam. 

BBA:

• Complete board exams like 10+2 in any stream with an aggregate of 50% marks. 
• Merit basis in the qualifying exam. 

B.Sc:

• It is necessary for the applicants to have completed board exams with PCM as the main subjects. 
• Students must have secured min of 55% marks, and no entrance exam is required for admissions.  

M-Tech:

• Completion of UG degree, i.e. B-Tech for the total duration of 4 years. 
• Students must have appeared for the GATE entrance exam at the national level.  
• Selections are based on merit and counselling results. 

MBA:

• Students must have completed a graduation degree in any stream for min of 3 years. 
• They must have secured min of 50% marks without any backlogs. 
• Appear for entrance exams like CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT, etc.

M.Sc. 

• Have a UG degree in B.Sc. for a total of 3 years. 
• Secure an aggregate of 50% marks, and no entrance exam is needed.
