The Institute is popularly known as IJT, Kolkata, established in 1951. The Institute is associated with the Indian Jute Mil's Association and Calcutta University. IJT is approved by AICTE and affiliated with the University of Calcutta. The Institute provides education in Jute and Textile program for the students who have qualifying marks.
