Chitkara Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET, Patiala) established under Chitkara Educational Trust's aegis in 2002. It is a private technical institution that imparts quality education in Engineering, Science, and Computer Application Streams. CIET is the most preferred engineering college in the north region. It has been ranked among the Top 50 Engineering Colleges in India. AICTE approves the courses which Chitkara Institute offers. CIET is an integral part of Chitkara University. The college campus is situated in Patiala, Punjab. The college mainly offers an engineering program at the UG level that is full-time BE for four years. Apart from BE, they offer BCA, BCA+MCA, MCA, ME, and Polytechnic Diploma Courses. Admission at Chitkara Institute will be offered based on academic merit and the entrance exam.

• CIET also offers a B Tech Lateral Entry course in similar specializations to regular B Tech. To apply for B Tech Lateral, applicants must have completed three years Diploma in a relevant stream with minimum eligibility.
• Applicants seeking BCA admission in CIET must qualify in the 12^th science stream and studied mathematics as the main subject. The final selection process will be done through an interview session.
• Two years full-time M Tech Program at CIET available in four streams. Applicants who hold a bachelor's degree BE / B Tech in relevant discipline can apply for M Tech admission at Chitkara Institute.
• The selection process of the candidates for granting M Tech admissions will be done according to their GATE entrance exam performance. Candidates have to submit the GATE scorecard during the document verification process.
• Candidates seeking BCA+MCA admission at CIET must have passed in 12^th with a minimum of 50% eligibility in the science stream. However, the final selection is made through a Personal Interview session.
• CIET offers a Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) in 4 streams, namely Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Automotive Technology. Candidates who have passed in 10^th Board Examination with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for Diploma admission in CIET.

Candidates applying for any of the UG & PG or Diploma Courses at CIET can apply online or download the application form by visiting Chitkara University's official website. Candidates must ensure the eligibility norms before applying. The application forms need to submit within a stipulated deadline. Chitkara Institute Application fees for all the courses cost around INR 1100.

How to apply online?

Step 1: At first, Visit the CIET's official web portal.

Step 2: Click on the admission section. You can see quick links on the right side of the screen states that "Apply online."

Step 3: When you click on Apply online link, the page will redirect to the application form portal.

Step 4: You can fill up all the necessary details in the application form.

Step 5: Then, You have to upload the necessary documents in a prescribed format.

Step 6: Pay the Application fees in online mode and submit the application form.

How to apply offline?

• Visit the main website of the University. Click on Admission Section. You can see the quick links on the right side of the screen states that "Download Application Form."
• After downloading the form, you have to take a printout of it. Fill up the details in the application form. At last, submit it through post or in-person. When you submit the form, don't forget to attach the documents & DD of application fees.
• You can also purchase the application prospects by paying fees at the admission office.
