Cape Institute of Technology, commonly known as CAPE, was established in 2001. The college's motto is to provide prominent practical education to future technocrats and make them learn the art of being independent in all perspectives in their lifetime. This college is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and has gained affiliation from Anna University. CAPE offers courses BE/B Tech at the UG level and ME/M Tech at the PG level. Admission at CAPE is based on an entrance exam, academic merit, followed by counselling.
Cape Institute of Technology (CAPE) B.E/ B. TECH Admission

  • CAPE provides admission in five specializations: Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communications, Computer Science and Mechanical.
  • The duration of this course is four years, and the annual intake of students in this UG program is approximately 60 students for each branch.
  • Admission for B.E / B. tech program in CAPE is based on the merit list released by TNEA based on 10+12 marks and the following the counselling procedure of Anna University.
  • Candidates obtaining a minimum aggregate of 45% in PCM subjects in 10+12 or equivalent can apply for admission in CAPE.
  • The first thing a candidate is supposed to do is register for the TNEA Counselling based on their 10+2 qualifying marks. Later, Anna University will release the TNEA Rank List.
  • Students whose names are included in the TNEA rank list are eligible to attend TNEA Counselling.

Cape Institute of Technology (CAPE) M. TECH Admission

  • CAPE provides a post graduate level degree of M. Tech in five domains: Computer Science, Structural Engineering, Applied Electronics Engineering, Communication Systems, and Power Electronics.
  • Candidates who have completed graduation in B.E/ B. TECH with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks are eligible to apply for admission to the M. TECH program at CAPE.
  • In addition to the prior criterion, they must have also cleared the TANCET entrance exam with a good score equal to the cut-off norms.
  • Seat allocation takes place through TANCET Counselling. Thus students who qualified in the entrance exam need to take part in counselling phases to fill their preferences.

Cape Institute of Technology (CAPE) Application Process
Admission to the college for the undergraduate program BE/ B. Tech is based on the TNEA merit list. For the postgraduate program, M. Tech is based on the TANCET entrance exam score and then counselling through the guidelines issued by Anna University. Firstly, candidates are supposed to register for the respective entrance exams by going to their official TNEA or TANCET.
The application procedure of TNEA:-

  • Go to the official website of TNEA.
  • Then, go for the homepage of the official website and press on the apply now option.
  • Register yourself, thereby registering the required details correctly.
  • When the registration process is completed, you will receive the logging credentials.
  • Using those given logging credentials, fill the TNEA application form attentively
  • Make an online payment of the application fee, which cost nearly RS.500/-.for TNEA registration.
