Aliah University was formerly known as Mohammedan College. It is a  state government-run autonomous university in New Town, West Bengal. It offers UG and PG programs in various Engineering, Arts, Science, Management, and Nursing subjects. The Aliah University admission process is competitive and based on entrance tests and merit. All courses require entrance exams, which the institution itself administers. In case students apply for B Tech, they must appear for WBJEE. In contrast, GATE scores determine admission to the M Tech.

Aliah University Course Admission

Aliah University admissions are entrance-based. The University conducts its entrance test known as the Aliah University Admission Test, commonly known as AUAT. Those students with valid scores in the national-level entrance exam will be exempted from AUAT.

Aliah University B Tech Admission

• The B.Tech at Aliah University lasts two years and offers specialization in five streams.
• Candidates must have completed Class 12 in PCM with a minimum of 60% in all subjects to be eligible for a B.Tech.
• Candidates with an engineering diploma may also apply for lateral admission into the B.Tech programmes at the institution.
• Admission to the programme is decided based on the results of the WBJEE Entrance Exam.
• Suppose students have not attempted WBJEE; they are required to appear for the Aliah University Entrance Exam.

Aliah University B.Ed Admission

• The applicant must have completed one of the following programmes with a minimum of 50% in the relevant discipline: 3-year Hons. Graduation: 2-year Master's; 5-year Integrated Master's.
• Besides, candidates must appear for the Aliah University B.Ed Entrance Exam.
• Under the B.Ed program, candidates' entrance test scores will be given 60% weight, and their academic performance will be given 40%.
• The candidate's selection is based on academic performance merit and entrance exam marks.

Aliah University BA,  BCA BSc Admission

Aliah University UG Courses include BA, BSc, and BCA. Students must ensure the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

• Candidates must have completed Class 12 in PCM with a minimum of 60% in all subjects to be eligible.
• Suppose students applying for admission to the Aliah University BCA Admission shall have studied Mathematics as a compulsory subject in 10+2.
• Candidates who satisfy eligibility requirements must appear for an entrance test the University administers.
• The authority will create the merit list based on the Aliah University Entrance Exam Results. Later, students whose names are displayed on the merit list must show up for Aliah University Online Counselling.

Aliah University M.Tech & MCA Admission

Under PG Courses, the University offers admission to the M Tech and MCA. Students must ensure the eligibility criteria before applying for admission.

• For admission to the M Tech, Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in BE or B. Tech. in the appropriate field from an AICTE-approved institution with a minimum GPA of 6.5.
• Candidates who have completed or appeared in the seventh semester with a GPA of 6.5 (through the sixth semester) may also apply. Selection criteria are based on GATE scores.
• For admission to the MCA program, applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree BCA with a minimum score of 55%. Selection is based on AUAT results.
• Thus, applicants must complete the  Aliah University Examination form on the official website.

Aliah University PG Admission

Aside from MBA and MCA, the University offers admission to PG Courses such as MA, MSc and LLM.

• For admission to the Aliah University MA Courses or MSc, Candidates shall have completed a three-year degree programme in a concerned stream and received the minimum needed from an accredited university may apply. Selection is based on AUAT Scores.
• Candidates from accredited universities who have successfully passed Part I and Part II exams—or earned an equivalent grade when combined—in their respective Honors or Major disciplines are also eligible to apply for the AUAT.
• To be eligible to apply for an Aliah University LLM admission, a candidate must have completed a 3-year LLB programme or an integrated 5-year LLB programme with at least a 45% overall grade point average.

Aliah University Integrated Degree

The University offers an integrated 5-year BBA+MBA programme. The candidate must have at least a Class 12 diploma with a minimum of 50% overall and 50% in English as one of the subjects. Selection of the candidates will be based on AUAT Scores. Thus, applicants must register online for an entrance test. Aliah University Entrance Exam Date will be updated on its official website. In addition, candidates must access the Aliah University Admit Card via the website. Therefore, it is important to carry on exam day.

Aliah University PhD. Admission

• The University offers a variety of PhD programs, including those in engineering, science, humanities, social sciences, and religious studies.
• The D.Litt. and D.Sc. degrees are regarded as superior to the PhD.
• These degrees are given based on the candidate's capacity for research and amount of publications.
• Candidates may submit applications under the following categories: Regular full-time, Full-time Sponsored, Part-Time Self-Sponsored (Internal), or Part-Time Self-Sponsored (External).
• Students must present a civil surgeon or university medical officer's medical certificate at final admission.
• After an interview, candidates are chosen based on their performance in the departmental admission test administered by the relevant Departmental Research Committee (DRC).
• The PhD degree is granted based on the student's performance in the required courses and seminars, followed by submitting the final thesis and the oral examination.

• Go to the official website of the University and click on admission options.
• Click on the Aliah University application form. Fill out all the fields accurately, indicating the course you wish to enrol in, upload your scanned photo and signature, and then select the testing location for the AUAT exam.
• Students who complete an online application can use a debit/ credit card to pay the application fees and click on the Submit button.
• The candidate must complete the form for online counselling by accessing the university counselling portal and paying the registration costs through the online portal after successfully passing the AUAT exam and being included on the merit list.
• Candidates must apply for admission before the Aliah University form is filled up on the last date.

Know About Aliah University Entrance Exam

AUAT is a national-level entrance exam offering admission to various UG, PG, and five-year integrated courses. Students must ensure the eligibility criteria before applying for admission. According to the Aliah University Exam Pattern, it will be conducted in offline mode. It comprises an objective type of questions excluding a few language-based programs. The questionnaire will be divided into two sections, which have 100 questions.
