WBJEE 2025 Result: Check Dates, Revised Merit List, Counselling Dates

The WBJEE 2025 result will be announced soon by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). Students who took the exam are now waiting for their results. As per the updates, the WBJEE result date 2025 is expected to be August 25, 2025. Once the results are released, candidates can log in using their application number and password and check their WBJEE 2025 scorecard and rank. The WBJEE result 2025 link will be available in the left-hand corner of the homepage of the official site.

WBJEE is a gateway for admission into one of the top engineering colleges in West Bengal, like Jadavpur University, MAKAUT, IEM, etc. It is also advised that the students upload their reservations certificate before August 23, 2025, to avoid any issues with their name on the WBJEE 2025 merit list.

The exam results of WBJEE 2025 have been delayed multiple times. Thus, it leads to confusion among thousands of engineering aspirants across West Bengal. The results are getting delayed due to the complex legal batting, which involves OBC Reservation Policies and the revised WBJEE 2025 Merit List.

Why WBJEE 2025 Result getting delayed?

The Calcutta High Court has stated that the OBC reservation policy on the merit list of WBJEE 2025 does not match. The merit list has been created as per the new reservation policy, which was not valid during the exam, as it was conducted in April. The new reservation policy came into existence after the conclusion of the exam. So, WBJEEB was not supposed to follow the new reservation policy while creating a merit list.

As a result, the court ordered the board to create a new merit list using the old OBC booking policy to include 7% OBC reservation for 66 acceptable communities. The board was given 15 days to fix it.

To properly do this, the WBJEE Board instructed all SC, ST, and OBC candidates to upload their caste certificates from August 18 onwards until August 23, 2025, during this time frame. Thus, the revised results will be available by August 25, 2025.
