NEET Counselling 2020: MCC has invited applications under the Children of Covid-19 Warriors Quota

NEET Counselling 2020: MCC has invited applications under the Children of Covid-19 Warriors Quota

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has been invited the application forms for NEET 2020 Counselling under recently created quota which is for the “Children of Covid-19 Warriors”. Eligible candidates who have cleared the NEET entrance exam can secure admission for MBBS/BDS courses through NEET 2020 Counselling under this newly created quota. Candidates can register under COVID warriors Quota by sending the application forms along with the necessary educational documents to Directorate of Health Services (DHS) or Directorate of Medical Education (DME).

Earlier, Harsh Vardhan, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan proclaimed “Children of Covid Warriors Quota” on 19th November 2020 and stated “this quota has been created to honour the contribution which is provided by COVID warriors for well managing & treating the COVID-19 patients.

According to the announcement of Directorate General of Health Services, “Covid Warriors means community health workers and public health care providers. Private hospital staffs & also outsourced staff who are enrolled for the COVID-19 relevant responsibilities, such workers are also considered as COVID warriors. Hence, those candidates who are the children of these categories can submit the application form and should choose their preferences of college in application form.

Candidates can choose any one of the following medical colleges in which “Children of COVID-19 Warriors Quota” is applicable

  • Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi
  • NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh
  • Government Medical College, Haldwani, Uttarakhand
  • Government Medical College, Haldwani, Uttarakhand
  • JLN Medical College, Ajmer, Rajasthan
