How to Calculate CAT 2023 Percentile Score?

To determine a candidate's CAT 2023 overall and sectional percentile scores, follow the instructions below:

• Determine the total number of applicants (N) that showed up for the CAT, taking into account the morning, afternoon, and evening sessions.
• All candidates who took the CAT should be given a rank (r), determined by the scaled scores they received in the QA section.
• Assign all candidates with the same rank if two or more of them receive the same scaled scores in the QA section.
• Determine a candidate's percentile score (P) in the QA section based on their rank: P=[(N - r)/n]x100.
• A candidate's computed percentile score (P) should be rounded to two decimal places.

Expected CAT 2023 cut off

CAT cutoff 2023 for admission to IIMs typically falls between 95-100 percentile across all categories. For General category students, the CAT cutoff percentile for top IIMs is approximately 98-100 percentile. It's expected that the CAT 2024 cutoffs will remain in this range.

Colleges like IIMs, FMS, MDI, SPJIMR, IMT, and MICA share initial CAT cutoffs for WAT-PI shortlisting before the result announcement. The final CAT cutoffs are disclosed either after the result or during PI shortlisting.
