GATE 2023 Application Process begins in September.
GATE 2023 will be a computer-based test (CBT) with a choice of two papers in some topic areas. It will be administered in 29 subject areas. The GATE exam 2023 will be held on February 4, 5, 11, and 12. In September 2022, candidates can register on GATE 2023 website gate.iitk.ac.in. The first week of September 2022 will see the launch of the online application portal.

Candidates who have finished any government degree in engineering, technology, architecture, sciences, commerce, or the arts and are currently enrolled in their third or higher year of an undergraduate program are eligible.

The seventh iteration of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2022, however, placed IIT Kanpur fifth overall. Last year, the varsity had also placed fifth in this list, moving up one spot from the 2020 list, where the institute had placed sixth.
IIT Kharagpur served as the host institution for the GATE exam in 2022, which took place on February 12 and 13. The test was given from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm in two shifts. IIT Bombay held GATE 2021, IIT Delhi hosted GATE 2020, and IIT Madras hosted GATE 2019 the year prior. GATE 2023 syllabus will be confirmed soon.

IIT Kanpur will host the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2023. IIT Bombay, Kanpur, Delhi, Roorkee, Guwahati, Madras, Kharagpur, and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will jointly conduct it. The National Coordination Board-GATE (NCB) and the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, shall arrange the exam on their behalf.
GATE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have finished a government-sponsored degree program in engineering, technology, architecture, the sciences, business, or the arts or are presently enrolled in their third or higher year of any undergraduate program are eligible to apply.
To be considered for financial aid and admission to I Master's programs and direct Doctoral programs in Technology/ Engineering/ Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Arts and Science at institutions supported by the MoE and other Government Agencies, GATE qualification is helpful. Additionally, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have started considering GATE scores in their hiring procedures.
GATE 2023 Application Form
The first week of September 2022 is predicted to see the publication of the GATE 2023 Application Form. On the GATE 2023 website, candidates can fill out the GATE 2023 registration form. The GATE 2023 application fee for women, SC, ST, and PWD applicants is INR 750, while the charge for all other candidates is INR 1500. GATE 2023 application form's last date will be the last week of September.

Candidates for GATE 2023 must upload scanned documents to register for the test. According to the instructions provided by the GATE Organising Institute, these documents must be uploaded. Candidates can review the needed documents, and the documentation requirements for the GATE 2023 form fill up.
Application for GATE 2023: Registration Fee
Candidates who plan to participate in GATE 2023 must pay the GATE 2023 registration fee online before the GATE 2023 registration last date using net banking, a credit card, or a debit card. GATE 2023 application fees are neither refundable nor transferable.
