DTE MP Counselling 2025 Started : Check Registration, Dates, Process

MP BE counselling registration started on 27 May 2025 by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh. Candidates who are aspiring to take admission in the  BE/B Tech courses in Top Engineering Colleges in Madhya Pradesh, must participate in counselling. It is a centralized Online admission process. Candidates who have appeared in JEE Main 2025 and fulfil eligibility criteria can register for the counselling process online on the official website. The mode of the counselling process is online. BE admission takes place through multiple rounds.

This counselling is a state-level that will provide admission to engineering courses in Government, Autonomous, Aided, Self-Financing and Private colleges spread all over Madhya Pradesh.

MP BE Counselling Round 2 Dates

Round 2 is the second stage of the DTE MP counselling process 2025 for BE/B.Tech admissions through 12^th marks. This round is specifically for students who aren't interested in the admission process through JEE Main OR, specifically for students who want to gain admission based solely on the Class 12th marks, based on Physics, Chemistry/Maths marks in Class 12th.

It effectively provides a significant opportunity for a number of students both:

• Students who did not appear for the JEE Main 2025
• Students who got low marks in the JEE Main but scored well in Class 12^th.
• Students who missed round 1 for unavoidable reasons.

College-level counselling (CLC)

College-level counselling (CLC) is the last stage of the DTE MP admissions process, where engineering colleges fill up the remaining seats directly under the guidance of the respective authority.

The CLC round takes place after the conclusion of Round 1 MP DTE Counselling 2025 (Based on JEE Main) and Round 2 Counselling (Based on 12^th Marks). Even after these two rounds, some seats remain vacant due to candidates not reporting to colleges, withdrawal from their admission or cancellation of seats.

During college-level counselling, students submit applications directly to colleges instead of through the DTE portal.

Who can participate in CLC?

Any student can participate in the CLC round. Basically, if you are:

• A student who could not attend previous rounds
• A student who has not got the seat allotments in Round 1 or Round 2
• A student who has decided to take a seat in a specific College with one or more remaining vacancies
• A student who had cancellations or wishes to upgrade/change college (if eligible)

How to Register for DTE MP BE/B.Tech Counselling 2025: Step-by-Step Process

DTE MP Counselling is a centralized online admission procedure undertaken by the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. It is a centralized online admission process for engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh through JEE Main or Class 12th marks. Here is a detailed guide, which includes a few simple steps, to help you along the way to register successfully for DTE MP B.Tech Counselling 2025.

Step 1: Open the Official Website: Go to the DTE MP counselling Web page:

Step 2: Locating the Counselling Link: Once you're on the homepage, look for the option on the page that says:

• "BE/B.Tech Counselling 2025"
• Click that link for the next step. There will be two options for different types of counselling: "Counselling based on JEE Main" and Counselling based on Class 12 marks."
• You select based on a means of application.

Step 3: User Registration: Click on the button "New Candidate Registration" and fill out the following information:

1. Full Name (as per your Class 12 mark sheet)
2. JEE Main Application Number (if you are applying through JEE)
3. Date of Birth
4. Your Mobile Number (for OTP)
5. Your Email ID
6. Your Aadhar Card Number

Once you have filled in your new applicant details, you will be issued an OTP to your mobile number. Login to your profile, and you will be prompted to enter the OTP. Enter the OTP to verify and complete the registration.

Step 4: Fill in the Online Application Form: Now that you are registered, log in again and complete the detailed application form with:

• Educational Details (Marks for Class 10  and 12)
• Address/Domicile information
• Category Details (General/SC/ST/OBC)
• Exam Details (If you are applying through JEE Main, indicate the JEE Main Score)
• 12^th Marks (If you are applying through 12^th Marks, indicate the overall aggregate marks along with subject-wise (PCM) marks)

Step 5: You must then upload documents as follows:

• Your Photograph (passport size)
• Signature Class 10 and 12 mark sheet
• JEE Main scorecard
• Domicile certificate
• Category Certificate (If applicable)

Step 6: Choice filling as per preference: After completing the registration:

• You must go to the "Choice filling" option
• Then, choose the colleges and engineering branches in order of preference.
• Review once again, and don't forget to lock the choices. Note that once you lock in the choices, you cannot change no matter what. So review it carefully.

Step 7: Merit List and Seat Allotment Result: DTE, MP will update the merit list based on the 12^th marks and JEE Main. Seat will be allotted in the order of merit, your choice of preferences and availability of seats. You will be able to view the allotment result by accessing the official DTE MP portal using the registered credentials.
