Department of Financial Studies or DFS is a public institution formed under the aegis of Delhi University. The institution was formed in 1987, and it is located on the campus of Delhi University, New Delhi. DFS has been approved by the University Grant Commission (UGC), Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The institution has also been recognized under the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). DFS Delhi flagship MBA is available in Financial Management Stream and Business Economic Stream.

• DFS Delhi University MBA Admission is entrance exam-based. The candidates are required to pass the CAT Entrance Test.
• At first, the candidates will be shortlisted based on their CAT results. The admission authority will prepare the DFS Delhi CAT Cut off the list to shortlist the candidates.
• The eligibility criteria for admission in the MBA program at DFS are as follows,

1. The candidates should have passed any graduation level examination or 10+2+3 level examination.
2. At the graduation level, candidates can have chosen any stream or specialization.
3. The degree program should have been offered by any university-approved under the University Grant Commission (UGC), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
4. At the 10+2 or HSC level examination, the candidates must have opted for Business Mathematics or Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
5. The candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% in aggregation at graduation level examination and 10+2 level examination.
6. The candidates must have appeared in the national level common entrance test CAT.

DFS Delhi MBA selection criteria

• The candidates appearing for admission in the MBA course must pass the DFS Delhi MBA Cut off norms. By determining cut off, candidates will be shortlisted for further selection.
• The applicants will also have to appear in another round of admission, including the personal interview round and group discussion round.
• The final selection criteria for MBA at DFS  will be done through evaluating the various factors such as score achieved in the national level entrance test, personal interview performance, marks secured in the group discussion, marks secured in the HSC level examination as well as 10th examination, as well as on gender diversity and prior work and academic experiences.
• Each step in the DFS Delhi Selection Process holds its significant weightage, and the candidates are offered seats in the program after evaluating all of the criteria.
• Prior work experience is not mandatory for admission in the MBA course. However, having prior work experience might increase the chance of selection of the candidates.
