The Department of Financial Studies (DFS) was founded in 1987 at the University of Delhi. A full-time two-year MBA (Financial Management) program and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program are available at the university. The Department of Financial Studies is one of the most recent academic institutions to join the CFA University Affiliation Program. The University Affiliation Program is open to educational institutions that incorporate a large portion of the CFA Program, CBOK, including the Standards of Professional Conduct and Code of Ethics, into the curriculum. The course curriculum was developed based on comprehensive consultations with leading practitioners in the industry, eminent academicians, and MBA (FM) alumni employed at senior levels in the industry to meet the course's objectives. DFS's program introduces students to the finer points of finance. It provides students with the skills necessary to pursue a successful career in finance. The MBA (FM) program will give you a thorough understanding of the financial services industry. This is in addition to the course program's other requirements, which are geared toward overall technical and personality development and graduation and success in the corporate world.

The MBA (FM) Program aims to educate students in the intellectual and analytical skills required to make sound financial decisions. The balanced concoction of different facets of finance separates this course from its contemporaries in management. Students are given inputs in essential managerial decision-making areas such as Corporate Law, Quantitative Methods, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Economics, and so on, as well as in various areas of finance such as International Finance, Financial Services, Financial Administration, Project Assessment, Investment Management, and International Accounting and so on. When it comes to entering the world of wealth management, DFS puts students in a winning position. On the one hand, it blends in-depth product expertise with a detailed understanding of the financial industry's complexities.
On the other hand, it gives you the confidence and conviction you need to tackle the requirements effectively. DFS's course offerings have changed over time, allowing students to keep up with the ever-changing financial services environment. The students are subjected to rigorous training to acquire relevant domain knowledge and add value to the respective organization.

The university offers MBA programs in different specialization with the fee structure of approximately 0.3 Lakhs. I completed MBA in Human resource management in this college. I got admission on the basis of scores that I got in CAT exam. Once the eligibility of CAT score is fulfilled then the 2nd factor which is needed is 50% marks in 10th, 12th and graduation. Then this is followed by group discussion and personal interview which is conducted by the college itself. Admissions in this college are only on the basis of CAT score and not through management. There are no direct admissions in this college. The college have good placements opportunities with better salary packages.
