RIT, popularly known as MSRIT, is one of the best engineering colleges in Bangalore. The campus facilities are top-notch with well-equipped labs for every specialization; numerous digital and non-digital libraries and e-journals are made available. There are unique reading rooms, a variety of canteens, and restaurants around the locality. Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls separately to suit financial needs. The enrollment criterion is through entrance exams such as KCET/ COMEDK for B.E candidates and KPGCET for M.Tech candidates, with various specialization areas to choose from. The faculty is very friendly, helpful, strict, too, in some cases. The working staff is accommodating. The crowd is one of the best ones I could find. There is no shortage of fests, as every other time there’s departmental fests happening and the annual college fest-UDBHAV is the most awaited. Besides, fests the college hosts TEDx talks, etc. The college ensures the students have fun while studying. Hence, numerous in-house startups are given place, internships are provided within the campus and externally too, industrial visits are standard, and numerous extra-curricular clubs exist to showcase talents. The fee structure is as per government norms. As for management seats, it varies from around Rs.200000 per annum or more, and it also runs for NRI students. The placement cell head is beneficial. Hence, the college boasts 95% overall placements with salary packages ranging from Rs.300000 to Rs. 4000000 per annum from companies like Infosys, GE Health care, Shell, etc.

Application Submission – Obtain and fill the management quota application form either online through the official Ramaiah admissions portal or directly from the college admissions office.

Document Verification – Submit academic certificates (10th/12th), identity proof, and any entrance scorecards as required.

Seat Confirmation & Fee Payment – Once selected, students must pay the required management quota fee and any development/donation charges within the stipulated deadline.

Fees under this quota tend to be higher than merit seats and vary by engineering branch. Because management quota seats are limited and in high demand, early application and prompt documentation submission significantly boost your chances of securing a seat.

Management quota admission procedure?

Admission through the management quota at Ramaiah Institute of Technology (RIT) provides an additional pathway for students who are unable to obtain seats through standard counselling processes such as KCET or COMEDK. A limited share of the total engineering intake is reserved under this category, allowing eligible candidates to seek admission outside the regular merit-based allotment.

To be considered, applicants must have successfully completed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry or a related subject, from a recognized board. While very high entrance exam ranks are not mandatory, students are generally expected to have appeared for exams like KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Main, as scorecards may be required during verification and admission formalities.

The management quota admission process usually begins with submission of the application form, which can be obtained either through the official Ramaiah admission channels or directly from the institute’s admission office. This is followed by document verification, where academic records, identity proof, and entrance exam details are reviewed.

Once shortlisted, candidates must proceed with seat confirmation by paying the prescribed management quota fees within the given timeline. These fees are typically higher than regular counselling seats and vary depending on the engineering branch. Since seats are limited, applying early and completing documentation promptly greatly improves admission prospects.
