Rules and Regulations of Kalyani University Examination

  • Students who complete 64 credits (4 semesters) in a min of two years and a maximum of five years will receive an MA or M.Sc. degree.
  • The semester-end and internal assessments are the two components of each course's evaluation system. Internal evaluation will be given 20% of the total weight, with the semester-end evaluation receiving 80%.
  • There will be two internal tests, ideally online, of the MCQ variety. The first internal evaluation will occur during weeks 8 and 9 of the semester, and the second internal assessment will occur during weeks 16 and 17. Standard-type topics will be included in the final exam.
  • A candidate will have two additional opportunities to present in the internal assessment if they don't show up or get low marks.
  • A candidate must have attended at least 75% of the course lectures conducted during that semester to be eligible to sit for any of the semester-ending exams.
  • Attendance in practical PCP is required for courses with a practical component. The candidate must attend the practical examination after satisfactory completion of Practical PCP. After passing the practical test, a certificate will be given out that must be presented to take the theoretical exam.

Kalyani University Distance, Learning MA course is a 2-year program at the PG level. Eligibility requires a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum mark of 50%. The course is available in different specializations.
