Mrs AVN College

The Institute is popularly known as AVN College, started as a school in the year 1860 later came to know as Hindu College in 1878. It is one of the few colleges that provide educators with the culture of the needs of south India. The Institute has been delivering education for 140 years with variegated alumni. The College grew to become a premier institution to help the public, especially the zamindars. The College has been achieving remarkable progress over the years and celebrated Diamond Jubilee in 1938. The College started with 227 students who now have 3000+ students at the campus. The College also has contributed to society by focusing on NCC and NSS programs. The Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education has provided permission to the Institute to offer UG and PG courses.

Mrs A.V.N. College Admission 
The Institute offers five courses under UG and PG program with various specializations. Each program offered by the Institute will have separate disciplines in which students can choose their subject. Candidates seeking admission for a program offered by the Institute will have to pass intermediate and Bachelor's degrees. In addition, the Institute provides students with eligible and qualifying marks in board examinations from a recognized University. The application form for the program offered will be online on the official website to fill in personal information.

• The Institute offers BA, B. Sc ad B. Com program under UG and M. Sc. M. Com under PG program.
• Candidates applying for the UG course at A V N College must have passed 0+2 board exams with 50% marks.
• The Institute will provide admission for the PG program if students have scored 50% marks in Bachelors or any relevant degree with 50% marks.

Mrs A.V.N. College Result 
The Institute will provide results for the examination conducted at the College online. There will be a separate link for UG and PG results. The Institute has semester-end tests, of which the Institute will post results online. There will be two semester-end examinations for the PG program and three semester-end exams for the UG program. The College will provide a direct link to the students to view the results by entering their hall ticket or registration number. The subject wise result will be considered on the official website screen candidates take a printout for future reference.  

Mrs A.V.N. College Campus 
A V N College campus is spread over 11 acres of land with all the modern facilities. The campus has a heritage administrative building, Science block, Biotechnology block, Chemistry block, labs for practical sessions and many more. The Institute also has all the facilities that will help the candidates and faculties have a comfortable atmosphere. The Institute is also constructing new buildings, which Urban Development Authority funds, Visakhapatnam. The Institute also has a women stadium and indoor games court inside the campus.

Mrs A.V.N. College Infrastructure 
The Institute provides modern facilities to the students inside the campus for students and faculties to make a comfortable environment. The Institute has enormous buildings, separate blocks for each course and labs. The students and staff are allowed to access all the facilities provided by the College under guidance. The College manages to keep the campus clean and hygienic for the students and the staff's members. The College has facilities like a library, seminar halls, classrooms, labs, sports, medical care and many more.

• Auditorium: Several Auditoriums at the campus will accommodate over 500 to 600 students. The Audis are fully air-conditioned and has all the safety measures.  
•  Library: The Library at A V N College has books on the courses provided by the College. The library also has journals, magazines, newspapers, and materials that will help students and staff.  
• Hostels: The College has boys and girls hostels in separate buildings. The girl's hostel is located inside the campus, and the boy's hostel is located outside the campus.  
•  Laboratories: The College has an excellent lab facility that will cater to all the needs of UG and PG students. All the types of equipment at the lab are modern and updated to present days needs. The students can access the lab for the practical session under the guidance of staff members. 
• Sports: The Institute has a vast playground that will help the students be an all-rounder. There is a football ground, Volleyball court, Indoor games court, NCC, NSS and many more.

Mrs A.V.N. College Scholarships 
The Institute provides scholarships and prizes to the needy and deserving students based on their overall performance. In addition, the Institute has several awards and scholarships which will offer cash prizes to the students. Some of the scholarships provided by the College are.

• Sri Jayanti Rama Murthi memorial prize: This prize is provided to the overall student of the first three years of B. Sc, BA, B. Com.  
• Sri. C. Radha Krishna Rao Prize: This prize of Rs 100000 is provided to the students who have the first rank in B. Sc.
• Sri A.V.N. Jagga Row, Memorial Prize for Academic Excellence for the year: The Institute provides this prize of Rs 115000 for the best all-rounder of the College.  
• Kolluri Pydisetty Prize: This prize is provided to the first all-rounder girl in the BA course with Rs 166. 
• Government of Andhra Pradesh Scholarships: This Scholarship is provided to the students of backward and economically weak students. The Govt of Andhra Pradesh provides the Scholarship.
