MAJOR SPECIALIZATION + MINOR SPECIALIZATION COMBINATION

In a Major + Minor Specialization combination, students are required to complete the following:

  • Major Specialization Courses: 9 courses (4 Subject Core courses and 5 Subject Elective courses).
  • Minor Specialization Courses: 4 (2 Subject Core courses and 2 Subject Elective courses).
  • In a Major + Minor Specialization combination, students must earn the following credits:
  • Major Specialization Credits: 22 credits (comprising 12 Credits from Subject Core and a minimum of 10 Credits from Subject Electives).
  • Minor Specialization Credits: 10 credits (including 6 Credits from Subject Core and a minimum of 4 Credits from Subject Electives).
  • For the Minor specialization, all 10 credits must be obtained from a single specialization, with 6 credits being mandatory from the Subject Core Courses.

 

The Major + Minor specialization combination is OPTIONAL for students.

  • Students can choose ANY Major + ANY Minor specialization combination, subject to institutional norms and guidelines issued periodically.
  • Students opting for a Major + Minor specialization combination will replace Generic Elective (GE – IL) Courses with Foundation Courses, Enrichment Courses, or Alternative Study Credit Courses ONLY.

 

Institutes may establish additional criteria, such as minimum SGPA/CGPA, the number of backlogs, and specific graduation discipline expectations, for students selecting a particular specialization or Major + Minor specialization combination. Such criteria may also involve potential employability standards for a specific specialization/Major + Minor specialization combination.

 

Sharadchandra Pawar College MBA Eligibility

The annual intake for MBA is 120 seats.

To gain admission to the MBA Program at the SPIOM, prospective students must undergo the following selection process to ensure they meet the minimum required standards:

 

A) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate:

  • The applicant must hold Indian Nationality.
  • They should have completed a three-year UG from any University recognized by the UGC or AIU in any field, with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent. (A minimum of 45% for candidates from backward class groups and PWD from Maharashtra State only.)
  • The candidate must have obtained a qualifying score in the MAH MBA CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

 

B) All India Candidature Candidate, Jammu, and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate:

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • They should have completed a three-year Bachelor's Degree from a University recognized by the UGC/AOU with a least aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent. (At least 45% for candidates from backward class and PWD from Maharashtra State only.)
  • The applicant must have achieved a competitive score in one of the examinations: MAH CET conducted by the Competent Authority, CAT, CMAT, GMAT, MAT, XAT, and CMAT.

 

C) NRI / OCI/ PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National:

  • The applicant should have completed at least three years of Bachelor's Degree from a University recognized by the UGC/AIU with an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent.
  • Any other criteria specified by the appropriate authority from time to time should also be met.
