SGI was established in 2008 at Faridabad in Haryana as profoundly known as a private educational institution. AICTE and NBA have approved this Group of the institution by seeking affiliation from the MDU of Rohtak. This learning center was initially started to train its students to provide an effective learning system. SGI offers both UG and PG programs in engineering and management studies, namely: B-Tech, B-Tech lateral, M-tech, MBA, and also Diploma in Polytechnic courses in their respective choice for taking up specializations.

The institute's infrastructural facilities are decent enough for imbibing good training in that particular course as there are more than 130 + faculty members appointed for teaching purposes. They are recruited after examining their teaching skills and their effectiveness. The institute also offers placement training for all its final-year students looking for jobs right after their course training. The placement cell will arrange for one-on-one sessions for its students and analyze their SWOT/ SWOC. Some of the well-famed companies acting as recruiters are Airtel, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Amazon, etc. The highest salary package to date is 15 LPA, and the average package to date is 4 LPA.

The institute doesn't provide any special scholarship facility for their students, and only merit scholarship from the government is offered to the qualifying students. There is also some relaxation in fees for those from a reserved category like SC/ST or OBC. The institution has more than 1200 seat intake, inclusive of engineering and other UG courses per academic year. Where 700 seats are for B-Tech course and the rest for other UG courses

• The B-Tech program is for complete four years, and in SGI, the course is offered in five subject variants as Civil, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Communication engineering.
• The basic eligibility requirement for B-Tech is that candidates will have to finish their board exams with having a minimum percentage of 55% and also secure JEE Main exam scores that are conducted for qualifying engineering students and aiding them to secure admissions in good engineering colleges in the state or the country as it is a national level entrance exam.
• The SGI also offers B-Tech in the lateral entry, where the eligibility requirement is slightly different. It needs marks from 10th board exams and +3, i.e., Diploma in any relevant subject with an aggregate of 55%. They will check for JEE Main marks for lateral entry as well.
• For two years, the M-Tech program of SGI is conducted as the full-time duration in specializations like CS and Mechanical engineering.
• The M-Tech admission requirements are—the candidates must complete their degree course, i.e., B-Tech in the related subject without any backlogs and aggregate CGPA of 7
• The MBA course in SGI is provided in three different subjects like HRM, Finance, and Marketing Management.
• The admission criteria are that candidates must have done their business administration UG course in the respective subject and write any entrance exam like MAT for management studies admissions in this institute.
• For all other UG programs like BCA, B.Ed, BBA, etc., the required qualification is that students must have completed their basic education and take up any of the concerned entrance exams as specified by the institution.
• Any entrance exam scores are equally important with the merit scores of the last qualifying board or degree examination.

• The interested and the eligible students will have to fill in the details as per the given particulars in the application form, 
• Attach photos, signature, documents, and concerned certificates asked in the form as proof of the stated qualification, 
• Students will have to mention the course and specialization subject in which they are seeking admissions in SGI and, 
• Finally, make the payment transaction for application fees to make the process complete,
• Take a copy of the submitted application once the confirmation is sent to the candidates for future use of the admission process.
