Salesian College, located in Darjeeling, West Bengal, was established in the academic year of 1938. It is a private institution that has been named as a “College with Potential for Excellence.” The college offers numerous UG and PG programs; admission to all the courses is based on merit in the qualifying examinations. Salesian College was approved by AICTE and is affiliated with the University of North Bengal.
- Salesian College provides undergraduate courses in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Computer Applications, Mass Communications, and Vocational courses under numerous specializations.
- Salesian College offers a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in five specializations. Minimum qualifications required for admission into B. Sc, B. Com and BA course at Salesian College are 55% aggregate marks in 12th standard and 60% marks in a recognized board's respective discipline. The final selection will be based on the entrance exam and personal interviews conducted by the college.
- A post-graduate level Salesian College provides a regular two-year duration of MA (Master of Arts) in English. The essential admission criteria are to have a graduation degree in the concerned discipline with 55% marks in graduation and 12th standard. The admission selection will be based on an aptitude test and a personal interview round conducted on the college campus itself.
- The admissions take place during May- June per year.
