SVIMS Pune MBA Admission

SVIMS offers a two-year, full-time MBA degree. The MBA program at SVIMS is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in business. The annual intake is 60 seats. The curriculum covers a wide range of management subjects, including:

SVIMS Pune MBA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed a minimum three-year UG degree from a recognized university in any discipline or equivalent. Candidates shall have scored at least 50% marks in the aggregate in their bachelor's degree (45% in case of applicants of backward class categories and PWD belonging to Maharashtra State only).

 

To be eligible for the MBA/MMS program at SVIMS, candidates must have obtained a non-zero score in either CET MAH-MBA/MMS-CET or CMAT. SVIMS offers a two-year, full-time MCA degree to women students. The MCA program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the IT industry. The prospectus covers a wide range of computer science subjects, including:

SVIMS Pune MCA Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have completed a minimum three-year UG degree in any discipline or equivalent.

Selection Criteria: The candidates are designated based on their performance in the entrance test. The entrance test scores that are accepted are MAH-MCA CET. SVIMS Pune MCA Cutoff is 54.

 

SVIMS Pune  CAP admission process

The admission process for the first year of the MBA program at SVIMS involves several steps, including the CAP rounds. Here is an overview of the process:

 

  • Registration: Register online on the DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) website at http://cetcell.mahacet.org/.
  • Document Verification:  Visit a Facilitation Center for document verification.
  • Fill out the Online Option Form: Choose SVIMS options (661410110F) for the Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP) rounds on the DTE website at http://cetcell.mahacet.org/.
  • Admission Process: Once the CAP rounds begin, you have the following options:
  1. Freeze: If you are allotted the institute of your choice, you can choose to "Freeze." That means you accept the seat, complete the admission process, and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee. This option is available for Candidates of the General Category, VJ/DT, NT, SBC/OBC, SC, and ST Category Candidates.

 

  1. Float: If you do not get your preferred institute, you can choose to "Float." That means you will remain in consideration for the remaining CAP rounds until you decide to freeze on an institute. For example, if SVIMS is your first choice in the CAP form, and you are allotted a seat at SVIMS, you can freeze the option and proceed with admission formalities.

 

Vacant Seats in CAP Round II and III:

 After the first three CAP rounds (CAP Round-I), a list of vacant seats will be shown on the DTE website at http://cetcell.mahacet.org/ for CAP Round II and III.

 

To be eligible to participate in CAP II & III:

  • Candidates who have not been allotted seats in any previous rounds are eligible.
  • Those who did not participate (failed to fill out the option form) in previous rounds are eligible.
  • Candidates who failed to report in person for Seat acceptance will be considered as having rejected the offer.
  • Those who took and cancelled their admission in earlier rounds or rejected the seat are eligible.
  • Those who selected the Freeze option in earlier rounds but now wish to change it to Float are eligible.

 

Document Verification and Eligibility:  It's essential to note that the allotted seat will be invalid if, at any time, any of the documents or certificates are found to be invalid or fraudulent or if the candidate does not meet the eligibility norms.

 

SVIMS Pune  Institute level quota against CAP

The admission process for Institute Level Seats and Vacant Seats after the CAP (Centralized Admission Procedure) for the first year of the MBA/MCA follows a transparent and merit-based procedure. Here's an overview of the admission process:

  • Registration: Register online on the DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) website at http://cetcell.mahacet.org/.
  • Document Verification: Verify your documents at the SETU centre per the schedule.
  • Fill out the form: Apply to SVIMS for Institute Level and Vacant Seats after CAP admission.
  • Display of Merit List: SVIMS prepares and displays the Inter-Se-Merit lists of candidates eligible for Institute Level Seats and vacant seats after the CAP rounds. These lists are posted on SVIMS's website (www.svims-pune.edu.in) and the institute's Notice Board.
  • Confirmation of Admission: Candidates on the merit list for Institute Level Seats and vacant seats after CAP admission can confirm their admission by submitting the required documents and paying the fees, as per the merit list, at SVIMS.

  • Admission for Vacant Seats against CAP and Minority seats is based on candidates' responses to the institute's advertisement.
  • Seats will be allotted based on merit, with preference given to Maharashtra State Candidates over All India Seat Candidates.
