The Executive MBA/PGDM at IMI Delhi is a prestigious and comprehensive management program designed for working professionals and middle-level managers who aspire to accelerate their jobs and take on leadership roles. Here we have provided the complete details regarding the admission process for the EMBA:

The IMI Executive MBA admissions process contains two phases; in stage 1, candidates are evaluated based on their academic background and performance on the entrance exam. Selected candidates are requested to participate in a Personal Assessment procedure (Essay Writing + Personal Interview). In Phase 2, Entrance Exam scores and academic records will shortlist candidates. When the initial shortlist is made public, the institute will contact the selected individuals for an essay and a personal interview.

IMI Executive MBA Eligibility Criteria

For Indian Students:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field recognized by the AIU, with a minimum of 50% in the course or an equivalent grade point average.
  • UG degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the government agencies of their respective home countries, with at least 50% in the course or an equivalent grade point average.
  • Having at least three years of post-qualification work experience as an executive or a freelance professional as of May 31.
  • The valid score of the entrance exam is CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ GMAT.

For International Students:

  • UG degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by their respective nations' competent agencies, with at least 50% in the course or an equivalent CGPA.
  • Three years' additional experience as an executive or independently employed professional as of May 31.
  • The valid score in the entrance exam GMAT.

Candidates lacking any of the entrance above exam results would be provisionally admitted based on their performance in IMI Entrance Exam; nevertheless, they would need to pass one of the exams above within six months of enrolling in the program. While meeting the aforementioned qualifying requirements is a must, it is not enough for an application to be considered. The authority can impose an IMI EMBA cutoff score for the above entrance tests.

Candidates who have been shortlisted must show up for an in-person interview. These interviews would occur on the institute's campus in New Delhi, India, and in other Indian cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, etc. The institute will not cover any candidate's travel, boarding, or lodging expenses for them to sit for the admissions exam or the personal interview. The interview for international applicants would take place over Skype. Documents would also be checked on the day they started the program.

According to the shortlisting conducted by their respective organizations, candidates sponsored by public sector undertakings, government agencies, departments, or reputable private firms will be admitted.

IMI Executive MBA Selection Criteria

The admission exam results, the interview, and the candidate's total academic record would all play a role in the selection process. Multiple cycles of the selection process will be conducted.

  • The selection of PSU or corporate house-supported shortlisted applicants will be made based on the information provided in the application form and the suggestion of the sponsoring entity.
  • The information provided in the application form, the results of the CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, or IMI Tests, the applicant's educational background, the grades they received in grades ten and twelve, their graduation status, and their employment history will all be taken into thought when shortlisting candidates.

Applicants will be communicated for a personal interview to determine their suitability for the program based on the shortlist. It would be necessary to produce an experience certificate, a certified copy of one's CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, or GMAT scorecard, and a sponsorship letter (if applicable) during the interview.

IMI Executive MBA Application Process

  • On the official institute website, an application form is available.
  • Applications that are not supported by fee remittance or that are incomplete will be rejected.
  • Depending on the replies received for its various selection cycles, the institute reserves the right to close the window for receiving applications before the deadline.
  • As a result, candidates are urged to submit their applications well before the deadline rather than waiting until it has passed.

Admission Offer Letter

  • Admission offers will be done based on the evaluation conducted throughout the selection process. Provisional offer letters would be sent to each self-sponsored candidate's specific communication addresses and via email.
  • These candidates have 15 days from the moment they get the offer letter to accept and pay the first instalment of the sum owed.
  • If a candidate misses the deadline for fee payment, the institute reserves the right to revoke its provisional offer.
  • Candidates sponsored by their businesses would receive the admission offer from us directly.
  • The identities of the employees or associates who would be participating in the program must be confirmed in writing by the sponsoring organizations within 15 days of receiving the offer.
  • The information/details submitted by the relevant applicant in their IMI Delhi application form and during their interview will be the basis for the admission offer.
  • Both at the time of the personal interview and on the day of joining the program, candidates must present the requisite original papers supporting their educational background and professional experience.
  • Incomplete documentation would result in the withdrawal of our offer. Any applicant found to have provided false information or documentation will have their application rejected from the program. In addition, the fee they paid would be lost.
