Undergraduate Programs

Indira College of Engineering and Management Admission Process – Step by Step

Step 1: Check eligibility criteria

If you’re looking to take admission at ICEM 2026, you have to ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. For engineering courses, you must have completed class 12th with the required subjects and minimum aggregate marks. For the PG program, you need to hold a relevant bachelor's degree.

Step 2: Appear for relevant entrance exam

Admission to ICEM is based on a qualifying entrance exam. For BE, you are generally required to qualify MHT CET or JEE Main. For MBA courses, qualifying in the MAH MBA CET is important.

Step 3: Register for counselling

After meeting the eligibility criteria, you have to register online through the DTE portal. During registration, you need to enter your personal, academic and entrance exam details. The registration is mandatory to participate in the centralised admission process.

Step 4: Choice filling & seat allotment

After successful registration, you have to fill in your preferred course and specialisation choices during the CAP. ICEM Pune must be selected as a preferred institute. Seat allotment is based on entrance exam rank, category, reservation norms, and seat availability.

Step 5: Document verification

You are required to upload necessary documents on the DTE portal. You also have to verify them at authorized Form Acceptance Centers (FACs).

Step 6: Fee payment & admission confirmation

• Indira College of Engineering and Management offers direct admission.
• After the CAP rounds for programs like BTech, MTech and MBA are completed, a portion of seats will remain vacant. It can be filled under the management quota.
• You may approach the college for admission under the management quota if you couldn’t secure a seat through the entrance exam.
• You have to qualify class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks. The process also includes verification of documents, filling in the admission details and online payment of fees.

Eligibility for B.E/B.Tech

• If you’re looking to get admission to the BTech program at ICEM, then you must satisfy the academic requirements.
• You must have successfully completed class 12th from a recognised board. The minimum aggregate marks must be 50%. If you belong to a category, then you will get a relaxation of 5%.
• Physics and Maths are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry.
• ICEM BTech admission is based on entrance exam performance. You must have a valid score in either JEE Main or MHT CET.
• Students have to participate in the centralised counselling process.
• Seat allotment is carried out based on entrance rank, category, and availability of seats.

Eligibility for M.Tech

• To be eligible for admission into the MTech course at ICEM, you must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology.
• You must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50%. Candidates belonging to reserve categories get a relaxation of 5%.
• Admission to the course at ICEM is generally based on merit or performance in the entrance exam.
