B. Tech eligibility
- To be eligible for joining the B Tech course at GNIET, Candidates shall have passed HSC or equivalent exam with PCM as the main subjects.
- Maharashtra Students (Domiciles) have to undertake state level entrance test MHT CET. While All India Candidature must appear for JEE Mains.
- Students who have completed a three-year Polytechnic Diploma course with an average of 45% marks can apply for B Tech Lateral Entry admission at GNIET.
- To be noted, BSc graduates are also eligible for Lateral Entry admission if they satisfy the specified terms set by DTE, Maharashtra.
B Tech Selection Criteria
- The admission for B Tech will be offered under two categories: DTE CAP Round Admission & Institute level quota admission.
- 80% of seats will be filled through CAP (Centralized admission process). While the remaining 20% of seats are reserved for ILQ. The admission to the B Tech at GNIET shall be done as per the guidelines specified by DTE.
- To apply for CAP, candidates must qualify in MHT CET Entrance Test with a valid rank.

M. Tech eligibility/selection criteria
- Candidates shall possess a UG degree in a relevant stream with a least 50% aggregate marks. 45% score in case of reserved category/PWD.
- Candidates with a valid GATE score are eligible to join for M Tech at GNIET. If candidates have not taken GATE, then admission will be granted based on the merit in the last qualifying examination.
- Moreover, the primary preference will be given for the GATE qualifiers. In case of any vacant seats available, then admission will be granted based on academic merit.
- As a first step, the seat allocation takes place through CAP rounds by following the DTE guidelines.
GNIET MBA Admission
- GNIET offers one MBA specialization course, which is for three years. The annual intake capacity for MBA at GNIET is 60 seats.
- Any candidate who wishes to become eligible for the MBA Program in GNIET must pass Bachelor's Degree from any field/ stream with a minimum 50% aggregate score.
- The selection of students for admission and allocation of seats in the MBA Program in GNIET is done based on the merit list of the following exams- MAH-CET / CAT / ATMA / CMAT / MAT / XAT/ GMAT.
- Candidates in their final year are also eligible to apply for admission at GNIET's MBA Program.
- All the aspiring candidates must register and confirm their online application form for MAH-MBA/MMS -CET.
