DAV Institute of Management (DAVIM), located in Faridabad, was established in 1997 by the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. The college is allied with MDU, Rohtak, which holds an impressive NAAC accreditation with an institutional score of 80-85%. As a result, DAVIM Faridabad has emerged as one of the most preferred institutions in the CNCR (Central National Capital Region) for management and IT education.

 

DAV College Faridabad began its journey with an MBA program, initially enrolling just 30 students and supported by five faculty members in 1997. Over two decades, it has evolved into an excellent learning environment, now offering eight courses at both PG and UG levels.

The institute takes great pride in the number of students, which has grown significantly from 30 to over 2,000, while the faculty strength has expanded from five to more than 100 members.

DAV Institute of Management Course admission

DAV offers Admission to the MBA and MCA at the PG level with an annual intake of 120 seats.DAV Institute of Management Courses at the UG level include BBA, BCA and BSc (H).

For the BBA, BCA and BSC in Computer Science programs, Admission is based on the merit of candidates in their previous qualifying examination, typically the 10+2 level or an equivalent examination.

DAV Institute of Management BCA/BBA Eligibility

The admission criteria for the UG courses specify that candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

 

Candidates should have finished the  10+2  from one of the following recognized boards:

  • Board of School Education, Haryana, Bhiwani
  • Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
  • Any equivalent examination recognized by Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU).

A minimum requirement for Admission is to have gotten at least 45% marks in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2).

 

DAV Institute of Management BSc Admission

The specific admission criteria for the BSc Computer science state that candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Candidates should have completed the Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) examination.
  • The subjects studied at the 10+2/HSC level should include English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • To be eligible for Admission, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) examination.

DAV Institute of Management MBA Admission

The MBA program offered at DAV Institute is a two-year regular degree program affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

DAV MBA Syllabus

  • The program follows the curriculum prescribed by Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. This curriculum provides students with a comprehensive understanding of management concepts and practices.
  • In addition to the academic curriculum, the MBA program at DAVIM also includes practical exposure to the corporate world. That aims to educate students about integrating management education and its real-world applicability in business.

Summer Internship:

Eligibility for DAVIM MBA Admission:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline to be eligible for Admission.
  • The minimum eligibility criterion is to obtain at least 50% marks in the UG  degree from a recognized university.

DAV Institute of Management MCA Admission

Number of Seats: DAVIM offers 120 MCA (2 Years) program seats. 20% of intake for MCA Lateral Entry.

 

Eligibility for MCA (2 Years):

To be eligible for admission to the MCA (2 Years) program, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Candidates must have passed one of the following qualifications with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only):

  • BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science
  • BE or B Tech. In Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Information Technology (IT)
  • B.Voc. (Software Development/IT) or an equivalent degree.

Alternatively, candidates who have completed B.Sc./B.Com./BA With Mathematics at the 10+2 level or the Graduation level with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only) are also eligible. Students admitted with this eligibility must undertake a prescribed additional bridge course during the first semester.

 

Note on Bridge Course:

Students admitted with the abovementioned qualifications must simultaneously undertake an additional bridge course as the University prescribes during the first semester.

The bridge course includes three additional theory papers and one practical, per the University's examination scheme.

Successful completion of the bridge course is mandatory for students in the first year of the MCA (2 Years) program.

 

Eligibility for MCA Lateral Entry:

For the MCA Lateral Entry, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years duration in one of the following disciplines with at least 50% marks in aggregate (47.50% for SC/ST candidates of Haryana only):

  • BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
  • B.Sc. (Information Technology/Computer Science)
  • B.Voc. (Software Development/Information Technology)
  • Candidates must have studied Mathematics as a course at the 10+2 or Graduate level.
