BLDE University Admission

BLDE University, established in 2008 by BLDE Association (Bijapur Lingayat District Educational Association), is one of the top medical institutions in Karnataka. It came into existence with the sole ethos of promoting sustainable and equitable medical education. BLDE Deemed To be University has been ranked among the Top 10 medical colleges in India by media giants like Outlook and India Today. Besides, BLDE Medical College NIRF Ranking is 151-200 for the overall category in 2021. In addition, the University also secured a rank between 151-200 in NIRF Ranking 2022 Medical Colleges.

It has a unitary campus of 71.2 acres, sprawled over the luscious hills of Bijapur, 24 departments, and a teaching hospital with world-class infrastructure with 1218 beds. It has been labeled as Deemed-To-Be University by the Ministry of Education and recognized in 'The ATAL Ranking of Institution on Innovation Achievements'.

In line with its spectacular mission to provide medical facilities to backward areas of Karnataka and impart research-oriented education, the BLDE offers admission to several UG programs, PG courses, Ph.D. courses in medical, science, pharmacy, paramedical, etc. BLDE University Admission to all the courses is solely based on entrance tests and academic merit in the qualifying exam.

BLDE University B. Sc Admission

The BLDE provides admission to the B. Sc course in Medical Imaging Technology (MRI). Like the other UG courses, BLDE University B.Sc courses are 3 years long, full-time.

Eligibility criteria for admission to BLDE Medical College B. Sc courses involve passing HSC/Class 10+2/Pre-University exams from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in relevant subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, and mandatory English subject. The final admissions will be provided based on the merit obtained by the eligible applicants in passing exams.

BLDE University MBBS Admission

The MBBS courses are 5.5 years long and full-time. The theoretical portion will be taught for 4.5 years on the Medical College Campus, while the rest of the 1-year will involve medical internships. The annual intake is 150 seats. Out of that, 127 seats are reserved for the general category, and the remaining 23 seats are reserved for NRI/Foreign/PIO and other.

The eligibility criteria for BLDE Bijapur MBBS admission courses recommend passing class 10+2/HCS/ Pre-University exams with a minimum aggregate of 45% in the PCB subjects. In addition, NEET UG scores determine admission to the MBBS. In contrast, the seat allotment will be done through single window counseling. However, the student needs to satisfy the BLDE Medical College cutoff.

BLDE University MD Admission

For admission to the well-sought-after MD courses, the aspiring medical applicants shall have passed their MBBS examination from an authentic medical college with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. The final assortment will be done on the applicant's performance in the NEET PG Exam. The final selected candidates will be invited for NEET PG counseling rounds.

BLDE University NEET PG cutoffs

BLDE University MS Admission

The MS courses are usually 3 years long, full-time. It is important to note that the eligibility criteria and admission process for MS are similar to the MD courses. Students must hold an MBBS degree and are required to qualify for NEET PG Examination. The University provides 5 disciplines under MS courses, which are

BLDE University MSc Admission

The M.Sc  admission is based on a University-based entrance test. It is provided in 4 different disciplines, including Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry. The minimum passing marks in the Qualifying B.Sc Degree exams is an eligibility requirement. In addition, eligible applicants have to sit for BLDE University Entrance Exam, commonly known as the BLDEU-SSET exam.

The BLDEU-SSET exam is the University based entrance exam held every year for admissions to prestigious MS courses. In addition, top performers are mandated to participate in the counseling process to secure a seat in BLDE Medical College MSc.

BLDE University Ph.D. Admission

The BLDE University provides an option to choose from 16 disciplines involved in the doctoral programs. These courses are a minimum of 3 years to a maximum of 5 years long. Unfortunately, only full-time Ph.D. options are available as medical associations don't permit applicants to work professionally while pursuing a Ph.D. from a registered institute.

Interested applicants will be mandated to take the BLDE Medical entrance exam known as BLDE-SET as the score obtained will be considered while offering admission. Furthermore, the selected applicants will be invited for a personal interview held by the Admission Committee. Later on, the final merit list will be prepared.

The BLDE University eligibility criteria for admission to Ph.D. programs involve passing the Qualifying MS/ MD/ MBBS DEgree exams from a reputed college with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks.

Applicants with professional work experience in medical domains will be prioritized more. Moreover, the eligible candidates registered as nurses or community doctors are eligible to seek admission to BLDE University Ph.D. programs as well. A monthly stipend will be provided.

BLDE University Fellowship Programs

The individuals seeking to enhance their skills and improve their academic standing are best suited to pursue the fellowship programs. To tend to the all-inclusive needs of the students, BLDE University provides multiple fellowship programs. These courses are 6 months-1 year long, followed by a minor internship. The course fee, hence the number of vacant seats in these fellowship programs, is less than in other full-fledged programs.

BLDE University Application Process

Interested candidates seeking admission can complete the BLDE University admission form. Moreover, it is essential to read all the terms, conditions, and guidelines before submitting the details.

The applicants shall adhere to the following BLDE University admission Guidelines.

1. Download the application form from the official website.
2. Fill in the correct details and attach the self-attested photocopy of the required documents.
3. The relevant documents might include photographs, mark sheets, UG degree certificates, PG degree certificates, etc.
4. Pay the requisite application fee through NEFT/ NET BANKING/ Demand Draft. The charge for UG admission is Rs. 500, the fee for PG admission is Rs. 1000, and for Ph.D. courses, it is Rs. 1500.
