The Xavier Aptitude Test, commonly known as XAT, is a national-level entrance exam held by XLRI, Jamshedpur. Its purpose is to assess the aptitude and skills of candidates seeking admission to MBA/PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) programs. More than 1,000 business schools across India accept XAT scores for their post-graduate management programs. As per the Schedule, XAT 2024 application form was released on 15 July 2023. Students will be able to apply till November.
The XAT 2024 Exam Pattern comprises 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) that cover various sections such as Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge. These sections evaluate a candidate's problem-solving skills, language proficiency, mathematical and analytical abilities, and awareness of current affairs. XAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
To be eligible to appear for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. Educational Qualification: Candidates should have completed a bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years duration or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university. The degree can be obtained in fields such as Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, or any other professional specialization.
2. Final Year Students: Candidates in their final year of their bachelor's degree program or pending final year results are also eligible to appear for the XAT exam. However, they must prove completing the bachelor's degree within the specified timeframe if they are shortlisted for further selection rounds.
3. No Minimum Marks Requirement: XAT has no specific minimum marks criteria for graduation. As long as the candidate has completed a bachelor's degree from a recognized university, they can take the exam, regardless of their academic performance during graduation.
4. Working Professionals and Professional Degree Holders: XAT allows working professionals and candidates with professional degrees, such as Chartered Accountants (CA) or Company Secretaries (CS), to appear for the exam. It allows individuals with prior work experience or specialized professional qualifications to pursue a management program.
How to apply for XAT 2024?

4. Click on the provided registration link to verify your registration.
5. Return to the XAT 2024 homepage and select the "login" option.
6. Enter your email ID and password to access the XAT 2024 Online form
7. Fill in all the mandatory fields of the XAT application form.

9. Proceed to pay the XAT 2024 application fee using a credit/debit card, UPI, or net banking at your convenience.
10. Candidates can select up to four cities in the XAT application form where they prefer to take the exam. The examination body will allocate the XAT 2024 exam centre based on the availability in the first preference city. If seats are unavailable in the first-choice city, the allocation will be made in the subsequent selected city.

XAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2024

Regarding the XAT exam pattern 2024, it is conducted online, and the question paper consists of 105 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be solved within a time limit of 210 minutes. Each section has a designated time limit, so candidates must maintain a good pace across all sections. The marking scheme for XAT is as follows:
- Each correct answer carries one mark.
- Each incorrect answer has a penalty of -0.25 marks.
- If more than eight consecutive questions are left unanswered, a deduction of -0.10 marks is applied.
- There is no negative marking in the General Knowledge section.
- The General Knowledge section scores are not considered in the overall calculation of the XAT score.
- The Essay Writing section is evaluated separately during the selection process, and the score is considered for shortlisting candidates for the personal interview (PI) round.

XAT Result Announcement 2024
The XAT 2024 result will be declared approximately 20 days after the exam. Candidates must visit the official XAT and XLRI websites to download their scorecards. Follow these steps:

2. Click on the 'scorecard' tab.
3. Enter your XAT User ID and birth date, then click 'login.'
4. Download your XAT result cum scorecard and save it as a PDF.
