VITEEE 2021 Exam

VITEEE is the admission test conducted by VIT, popularly known as Vellore Institute of Technology, for engineering courses. This exam is a University level examination where any of the students willing to join VIT for their degree should attempt this entrance test, and admissions will be finalized depending on the registered candidates' score performance. VIT has its educational campus in four cities likely to be located at Chennai, Vellore, Bhopal, and AP-Amravati. VITEEE will be conducted on all four campuses and is given equal validation. The institution has already started accepting the application forms earlier from November 30, 2020, and recently the institute authorities announced their confirmed exam dates for VITEEE 2021. The exam is said to starting from June 18 till June 26, 2021. In the given information below, candidates can check for complete details regarding the examination.    

As the application forms were available from way long back (November 30, 2020), the candidates must follow the simple steps to fill the exam application forms. The last date to fill in or register for the exam is by March 30, 2021.

  • Application forms are live and easily accessible to candidates on the VIT's official website at viteee.vit.ac.in. And it can only be done through online mode from November 30, 2020, to March 30, 2021.
  • Students will have to register their names, and a confirmation mail will be sent to them with the login credentials, which will be used in another process of application forms.
  • Students will have to enter the login password and start filling the form where both the candidate's details and the academic information and the course details they are willing to join in VIT should be mentioned.
  • They also have to enter their convenient campus of VIT, where they are looking for admissions.   
  • Once the details are filled in, the next step is to attach the photographs, signatures, ID documents, and other certificates in the given format digitally.
  • If there are any corrections to be made in the application form, then the correction window will be open in the last week of March 2021. The final date announced by the Institute for submission is March 30, 2021, post that the application forms will be invalid.
  • The last step is to pay the form fee amount via online mode only; the amount to be paid is INR 1150, and if the amount is paid by any mobile pays, then there is a relaxation till INR 1050/-
  • It can be paid through monetary cards, net banking, or otherwise, but it is non-refundable by any chance.
  • There is no compulsion to have a copy of the form, but the students can still take a hard copy of it to be on the safer side.

Candidates' Eligibility Criteria for VITEEE 2021  

  • The applying should be compulsory the Indian citizens, and NRI Candidates can use it for this exam. 
  • The students' age limit should be a minimum of 19 to a maximum of 25 years of age. 
  • The candidates' educational qualification should be that, cleared 10+2 class board examination from any of the well-recognized board.
  • The ones who are yet to write their +2 board exams can also apply for this entrance exam.
  • They should have scored good marks in all the core subjects from their 12th standard. 
  • Candidates must have at least 60% as their qualified percentage, and for reserved candidates, it is 50%. 
  • Some of the most considered subjects are PCM, i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and English as the primary language medium. 

 

Below is the briefed Exam Pattern format of VITEEE 2021            

  • Candidates should check the actual exam pattern so that they prepare themselves accordingly. 
  • The mode of VITEEE examination is online by CBT method. 
  • All the questions asked in VITEEE 2021 will in multiple-choice questions format (MCQ) 
  • The total time duration for the exam is 150 mins or 2 hours and 30 minutes altogether.
  • The medium of examination will be given only in the English language. 
  • One mark is rewarded for every correct answer in the marking scheme and no negative marking for incorrect answers.  
  • The total number of questions is 125 for a total of 125 marks.

The candidates who are done registering for the exam should book their convenient slots. They should carefully choose the places as they cannot be changed once confirmed. They will have to select the correct time, city, campus, course, and other general information while booking the slots. This process can also be done online through OTBS by entering registration Id and passwords created while filling the application form. The slot booking process will start in April once the final submissions of applications are completed.

Next, the institution will release the admit card or hall ticket if they have booked their exam slots on the website. Admit cards will probably be released in April or on the dates nearing the exam dates. Candidates will mandatorily carry their admit card to the exam center without allowing them to take up the exam. Along with this, candidates must also have an additional ID with a photograph as proof of validation. 

VITEEE 2021 results will be announced by the final week of April 2021, which is also released on the exam website. The complete rank list or the merit list will be given in a percentage format that will be further compared for the admission process for the 2021 batch in VIT. To see the results, candidates will have to use the application no. and password and then download the respective result sheet and take the physical copy. 

VIT will later release their cut-off criteria so that only the eligible candidates can continue with the counseling process and final admissions. Cut-off scores will usually depend on the total availability of seats, marks secured, no. of students who appeared for the exam, etc. Even this information will be given out on the website, and then the authorities will prepare the merit list.  

The final step of VITEEE in VIT is the counseling process, which takes place in offline mode with physical appearance once the results are out. The counseling process comprises document verification, seat allotment, confirmation letter, and so on. 

The candidates participating in the counseling process should pay the same fee and submit their documents for further scrutiny.
