Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will oversee the UPTAC 2025 counselling process for admission into various UG programs. It includes both first-year and lateral entry courses. These programs are offered by AKTU–affiliated institutes as well as other state universities in Uttar Pradesh. Admission will be based on scores from National-level entrance exams, such as JEE Main, CUET (UG/PG), and NATA. Recently, AKTU has revised the official UPTAC counselling portal. They have released a detailed information brochure along with the updated admission guidelines.
The UPTAC counselling process 2025 will be conducted online. The complete schedule of the counselling will be out shortly on the official web portal of UPTAC admissions. As per expectations, the counselling will have five rounds followed by a special round.
The UPTAC 2025 centralized counselling process will start admissions to various UG and PG courses across participating institutes. The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) will open the online application portal for BTech admissions from May 27, 2025. The UPTAC counselling 2025 last date is 30 June 2025. Applicants who have qualified for the entrance test can take part in this counselling process. The meeting counselling will be conducted in five regular rounds. Moreover, two special rounds will be followed after this. The application process involves several steps. First, it includes online registration, completing the counselling form, uploading essential documents, and pay the application fee. To apply for UP BTech 2025 successfully, candidates have to follow each step of the process carefully:
Step 1: Registration
Standby registering for UP BTech 2025 using a valid email ID and phone number. These details will be used in the future as well.
Step 2: Application form submission
Fill in all the required personal, academic, and contact details in the application form. Once submitted, an application number will be created. You must ensure to note it down for future use.
Step 3: Document upload
Upload all the compulsory documents in the given format. The documents include:

Complete the payment processes online via debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI or Paytm payment.

Step 5: Confirmation page
After paying the fee successfully, download and save the confirmation page. It is advised to keep a printed copy for future reference.
Step 6: Fill in preferred colleges and courses
After the document verification process is completed, applicants must log in to the official portal to lock in their choices of preferred colleges and courses. The seat allotment is carried out based on the choices submitted, candidate merit, category, and seat availability.
Step 7: Pay the admission fee
Once a seat is allotted, candidates are required to approve their admission by paying the fee and reporting to the assigned college. If an applicant is not pleased with the seat allotment, they will have the option to either freeze the seat, opt for floating - which is to wait for a better choice or withdraw from the counselling process altogether. If any seats are vacant after the regular counselling rounds, the authorities will organize a special round of counselling.
